$100.00, $500.00, $1000.00 Dollar Line...Is it from God?

Through the years, I have attended many christian services, events and conferences. It greives me deeply when pastors and their leaders call for the infamous money (giving) line. There is first the $1000.00 line, then the $500.00 line and then everybody else who can give a$100.00 or whatever.

First the bible reminds us, let our giving be done in secret. ( The secret place of the heart between the giver and God). Sadly, many people give large sums of money in public events to be seen of men. They have already received their reward, ( the praise of man but not of God)

People who want to give and don't have are made to feel less than Christian and that something is wrong with them if they can't or don't give.

I have no problem if it is led by God, for pastors asking for specific sums of money, because ministry cost. I do have a problem with showcasing folks. People can be asked to come up all at once and directed to give their gift/offering to God in the secret place of their heart.

What do you all think?

I think and this is my opinion that all theses ways of giving people come up with are ways to deceive people into to giving. There were times I gave my last based on theses sayings and struggled paying my bills.

One of the things I dislike the most is when your told to put your bills last and give to the prophet who is speaking and then when the people don't move fast enough they use the guilt trip on you saying all that God has done for you and he gave his last plus the prophet adds when you give this amount this that and the other is going to happen in 3 to what ever days. This is all very sad and discouraging it is faith that moves God not money.
