To he that hath an ear: let him hear

Hi all this is Pastor P of FIRE Ministries in DeSoto

This sunday the LORD gave us " We have this treasure in earthen vessels"II Cor 4:7
As we all know the gifts and callings are w/o repentance , however oftentimes, our paths are redirected because we don't accomplish all of our aspirations, dreams and goals simply because of "thorns and thistles" Gen2:18 thorns are our stumbling blocks and thistles will cut-off and redirect the path of anything that it they encounter the end result is , we dont usually go or grow in the path of least resistance, In fact we grow often in the places hardest and most diificult to traverse and prosper.
Many of us call this the school of "hard knocks" that sometimes is so adversarial that it nearly derails and re-adjusts your direction in life and sometimes it just seems to leave you uneasy and semmingly in a hopeless position.

Well, after we toil and labor through all of our own mistakes, failures and and shortcomings, we find that the outcome usually not the planned path, but usually the destined path that takes you into the blessed place where your suffering has made and tempered you to be resistant to easy distractions, roadblocks, and challenges. The avg believers seems to forget, that the way we come to know Christ is through this "suffering" way remember this is one of the fruit of the spirit. (long-suffering)
The Bilbe states that we might know Him through the fellowship of His suffering Phil 3:10.

We've learned through many of our studies that treasures are usually "hidden" buried and awaiting discovery, even diamonds must be unearthed, cut, refined and polished to produce its optimal beauty likewise this is also the process of many of us.
Our message took us back to Gen where we began to bring the mystery of the garden into a greater light in Gen 2: 5-7
The spirit man arises to began the task of fulfilling the will of GOD to have a man to till the ground. The derrivative of till is toil or labor which is required to unearth whatever gift and talents in you that GOD has placed.

The seed of all was in the ground, but it had not yet come forth as fruit. (read the scrip) Fruit is anything in your life that gives you a harvest, and it has the ability to reproduce again. (preach Parker)

We all must be found producing or suffer the fate of the fig tree! GOD commands us to be fruitful and multiply!
not just sexually but both natural and spiritual.
However the converse of this is that the "thorns and thistles" will be in the way to prevent the seed from germinating, taking root and rising to the top.
The same way that Apostle Paul had a "thorn " in his flesh we will surely receive in life processes our share of thorns.

The conclusion of the matter is found in 2Cor 4:8-11 but the message was this... 2 Cor 12:7-10 this is the reason that Christ adorned the crown of thorns on his head! that we who believed on Him as the scriptures had said would be able to be unearthed in victory , conquering the challenges of this life, and most importantly death, hell and the grave, raised in the hope of His Glory! to be with the LORD forevermore....... this is the greatest treasure in the sight of GOD!

Amen
