Everyone, who inhales and exhales the "ruwach breath" of the Living God to breathe , has had, has, or will have an "IT" in their lives. "IT" is that thing that transpires in your life to lead you to purpose, realign or prove your character, or to reveal Christ in greater depths! Your "IT" may be a season of unexplainable lack, need or financial drought, which sets off a chain reaction of repossession, loss, and disconnection of this, that, or the other. That may be your "IT" for a season, but don't know that there are more "ITS" ahead. There's the "IT" that lands you in the valley of persecution, loneliness, abandonment, or accusation. You don't recognize IT at the time, but this is that thing that has dogged your heels the length of your life, and it has been instructed to not return to the pits of hell, without your destiny or life as a trophy! These particular "ITS" become so familiar to you that , you become tolerant of them, as one does a bad case of acne or stubborn "belly fat", until IT transforms from a cuddly little fur ball of a kitten, into an untamed, blood thirsty, panther. Some "ITS" are subtle and undetectable until they've accomplished their assignment, and then they become a "THAT" in your life! The "cross" was Jesus' "IT", and so was Gethsemane and the Judgement Hall. Christ's birth, through, the shame and persecution of Mary, the rejection of Joseph, and ultimately the death of Christ, her Saviour/Son was Mary's "IT"! The memories of how he persecutued the church of Christ, and murdered those who followed Him, was the Apostle Paul's "IT"! David's "IT" was the death of his infant son, whom he wasn't even allowed to mourn, and the knowledge that his greed and narcissism led him to murder an innocent man, just to get at his wife. Hosea had an "IT" of massive proportions, in that the same God who was the epitome of ,and Who demanded Holiness, allowed him to marry a whore, and counselled him to stay with ther even after she continued to "trick" on him with other men, without an ounce of discretion. Joseph had an "IT" of overwhelming proportions as well, because his was manifest through his own kin and blood, and his "IT" was to suffer for a season, not for his own transgressions, but rather that the very ones who had sought to destroy his life might have a way of escape, and rescue, when they found themselves in severe drought and famine! Elijah's "IT" was the very mantle that made him be of such great renown, and notoriety, which for him, was at times, both a blessing and a "curse". Jezebel had an "IT" as well, and that being, her own flesh which she allowed to rule her, and the unwillingness to be governed by Godly authority or order. Paul spoke well about another one of his "ITS", as he acknowledged the unpredictableness and the disloyalty of his flesh and emotions, when he said "When I go to do good, evil is always present, and that which I'm of a mind to do, is what I don't do, and what I would not, is what I find myself doing. As Moses executed his divine assignment to lead an entire nation out of years and decades of bondage, confusion, and dislocation, the Israelites were his "IT", and a constant source of grief, vexation, and tribulation. Jacob's "IT" was his "sheisty" nature, and predisposition to be a "hustler", and a liar. Rizpah's "IT" was her attraction to dead things. Your "IT" may be what you thought was the "right" "IT" that would bring you eternal joy, happiness, and peace, only to find out that it was the same old "hamburger", just bought from a different burger stand! Your "IT" may be the dissolution of a promising relationship, the incarceration of a son, the crack addiction of a daughter, the lesbianism of a niece, the betrayal of a man/woman, the backstabbing of a friend, the violence of a mate who promised to love, protect and cherish you, the mental illness of a Mother, the cancer of a father, the loss of a home you've laboreed for 20 years to buy, the repossession of a car, or thr fact that for three years you thought your child was progressiing in their college career, only to find that they dropped out after the second semester. Your "IT" may be having a child over in Iraq who's on the MIA list, or as a Pastor, you may have the Deacon Board attempting to undermine your efforts to fulfill the vision God gave you. As a woman of God, your "IT" may be the persistent disrespect, rejection, and hinderance of your ministry. Your "IT" may be the closed pulpits and platforms that are shut for you because of your gender, or the lack of support from the "Saints". "IT" could be that thing stirring around in your sanctified belly, which has yet to be identified, but it won't let you hold your peace, and it puts a running in your feet, and it's like "fire", shut up in your bones, but no one will help you identify it or give birth to it, and you're afraid you will abort, miscarry, oe never get to know 'IT"! You may not even know what your "IT" is, but believe God that you've got an "IT", and in the fulness of time, "it" shall come to pass, "it" shall be made to known, and "IT" will do exactly what "IT" was sent to do!
