WELL,WELL,WELL!

When one hears this particular word, their thoughts may stray in several different directions, as to it's meaning, and depending on what's going on in your life, or where you are spiritually located at the time, it really is open for interpretation. For the woman whose life was about to be changed by a predesgined encounter with Christ, it initially meant " a source of provision/necessity", but to the Shunamite woman whose prized, only son who lay dead and cold, it meant " I BELIEVE GOD", and it was a prophetic delcaration, calling those things that be not as though they are, and calling those things that "are", as though they be not"! "Well" for her meant that she needed to go the other "WELL', and find and drink from the Rivers of Life, so that she could carry them back to her deceased son. For the Shunamite woman, she was not able to go the Well, so she sent and requested that the "WELL' come to her, that being Jesus, the Christ, Who is the "Rivers of Living Water"! To Mary and Martha, the grieving sisters, of the long dead and notorious Lazarus, WELL, was a declaration of challenge, because what they wanted to know from Christ was "MASTER, WHERE WERE YOU WHEN LAZARUS WAS ON THE "CRITICAL" LIST, IN NEED OF A MIRACLE, AND YOU WERE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND, AND YOU COULD'VE SAVED HIM?", so, "WELL" what are you going to do now, Jesus"? "WELL, we are waiting?!" When the unexpected "Tsunamis" of life,and when the flames of this life are leaping high, and too close to your vital organs for comfort, which "WELL" will you send forth and proclaim? When your soul is thirsty, and your spirit is parched from the desert heat of your trials, will you send for the "WELL" that never runs dry? When personal disappointments and hurts look like they are about to suffocate you, will you go the "WELL" to draw out of the wellsprings of salvation? When your husband/wife walks away,leaving you with the kids and a stack of bills, waist deep, which WELL will you pant after? When the devil throws you a devastating blow or a sucker punch, are you going to curl up in a fetal positon and take the "whipping" the enemy is trying to put on you, or are you going to get yourself up out of the ashes,and tell your adversary, "WELL, devil, you might as WELL roll your sleeves up, and put your "sports cup" on because it's going to be a long night, and you may whip on me, but i'm going to whip on you too!" When serious infirmity, and that report of leukemia, congestive heart failure, brain tumors, and prostate cancer are delivered to you, will you remember the Lord and His marvelous works and say"IT IS WELL! I AM WELL!, BECAUSE GOD IS MY WELL!!!! ACCESSING THESE "WELLS, IS NOT WITHOUT SOME LABOR AND DETERMINATION. In the Bible days, these wells were covered by stones, to keep debris, bugs,and trash out, so in order to get to what the wells provided, one had to be strong enough to handle the rocks! There were penalties for just arbitrarily inviting yourself to someone's well, no matter how hot and faint you are, and the owner of these water cisterns had to grant you permission, if the well as on his property. In parallell, no man can drink from the Living Well without permission, from the Father. As we strive to commune with, and partake of that "WELL" known as Christ, you, too will need to be strong enough to get your stones of disbelief, doubt, doublemindedness, fear, greed, and selfish ambition out of the way before you can dip your praise into the "WELL" that never runs dry! Things may appear to be dying, hopeless, and with no visible end, but if you can just make it to the WELL, He will restore, revive, and rejuvenate you! If pain and disappointment have you nearly paralyzed,, and you don't know whether the front door of your house is an entrance or a sidewalk, pull yourself up to your full height, square your shoulders, look to the hills, loose youself from the bondages of despair, remember the Lord, Who is fierce in battle, and shout loud enough for the demons to tremble, "IT IS WELL! IT IS WELLLL!!!!!, IT IS WELLLLLLLLLLLL,DEVIL!
