Of all the certainties and promises of God and of life, the most active and most profoundly consistent one is PAIN. Suffering has been assured since Genesis3:15" And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Acts 15:"Confirming the soul of the disciples and exhorting them to continue in the faith and that we must ' THROUGH MUCH TRIBULATION ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD." I'm certain that all of us have been excited by the popular declaration that "money cometh", and I'm sure that in the appointed seasons and time, it shall, however the reality of "pain" defies time and season, but so does the solution. I've never met that "8th wonder of the world", a soul that has not endured hurt, desolation and disappointment, especially a woman. Many of us have endured great trauma from our Mother's womb, and we've adapted and made the neccesary adjustments just to stay alive. We are sensitive creatures by nature and we allow things to penetrate and become enthroned in our heart and spirit, the seat of our emotions. The marvelous thing about most of our hurts is that as we embrace Christ, become persuaded of the absolute truth of His Word and the realness that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER TO THE GOOD OF THEM THAT LOVE CHRIST, AND ARE THE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE" ,we learn how to assume the posture of hope, settle in, in the midst of the struggle, wounds,or pain and trust the Lord as we lean not to our own understanding, exalting Him above our every despair and misfortune, As we submit to His sovereignty and know that His plans for us or good and not evil, we manifest His peace which surpasses all understanding and serenity becomes a blanket and mantle covering us. How magnificent that the Lord looked down through time and saw the certainties of our suffering and He made provision for it, least we faint and become useless to His kingdom. Thank God for the precious Blood that flowed from Immanuel's veins! Thank God that it still has "wonder working power"! Thank God for the exousia and dunamus power of His Name which is above all names! Moreso, then, that we should THANK GOD that He has given us sisters in the journey to celebrate, reaffirm, confirm, influence, comfort, and edify one another because our very essence has the capacity to heal. Every travesty and "injury" we endure becomes a potent, "antidote", Penicilin, analgesic, balm and salve for some Mother , Sister, Granny, Neice, Aunt, Godmother, Cousin, and Christian leader on this planet. As we allow our pain to process and progress us, we should become powerful, skillful, and astute at extending hope, manifesting compasionate wise counsel, and deliverance to one another. One of the first "healers" in the Bible, was not a male doctor, but a female Nurse by the name of Deborah, and before her there were the Hebrew midwives who were so committed that they rescued their sister's babies when a "contract" had been put out on their lives, Then we have Elizabeth, and her cousin , the Virgin Mary, who were both in dire straits, and who needed a trusted confidante to cover them and walk with them until their "visions" were secure, and their assignments complete. Elizabeth was the object of rdicule, gossip, and controversy, not to mention the fact that a 90 year old woman had to be "high risk" regarding her pregnacy. She hadn't heard her husband be able to say " I love and appreciate you" for a minute because his impetuosity had rendered him mute for a season. Mary was in extreme pain because I'm sure that "church folk" were calling her a whore, a liar, and her husband had been of a mind to reject and abandon her. I'm sure she was devastated that her innocent reputation had been slandered through no fault of her on. She, very possibly, had been ostracized by her own family and could find no one who could understand her highly unusual circunstances, or someone that she could even trust with such supernatural news and declarations. What blesses me is that they recognized the pain in each others lives, and putting aside their own individual despair, they ministered to each other. Their committment was not just because they were kin, but because they were able to see the destiny still hidden in each other's wombs, and recognized that they were intertwined. Elizabeth could've shown great disdain and self rightousness to her much younger cousin because rumor had it that she had conceived out of wedlock, but instead she reverenced her "calling" as the Mother of her Lord , and Mary nurtured Elizabeth in return. The Bible admonishes us to "let the strong bear the infirmities of the weak. The problem with this same level of committment to one another's pain today is that that same enmity compels us to yield to the demonic influence of jealousy, envy, resentment, and covetousness,so many of us suffer silently because we are afraid to trust, and understandably so. We should never be so self absorbed, distracted, and isensitive that we can't discern the pain and torment of our sister sharing a pew with us, preaching along side us, riding the same bus and sharing a latte with us.We are natural nurturers, consolators, and compassionate souls (most of us anyway) and we need to live up to our decree we so often quote, that being "One can't fall without the other! There's something terribly amiss if we can't "smell the blood" ( we can certainly sniff out a "blessing")on that one whom we spend hours texting or chatting with. Are you genuinely committed to your sister's pain, or are you afraid to become patiently involved or available until her season of pain is spent? Are you one who says "it's not MY problem, or "I have my own issues to deal with"? Are you one of the others, who only half listen when your sister is in anguish, because you're thinking about your own situations? Yes,taking on the burden of another can be draining and overwhelming, but His grace is still sufficient, and He'll strengthen you way down in your little sanctified soul, and renew your strength as the noon day. Physicians, Dentists, and Psychiatrists are most certainly committed to the "pain" of thousands, untiringly, for a "fee". In other words, they recognize that if they dligently labor to relieve the pain of their clients, that a reward awaits at the end of the day. Well, there are many "rewards" available to those who're committed to the spiritual, emotional and mental pain of our sisters, such as peace, joy, affirmation, and the pleasure of knowing we have effectively dismantled the weapons that were formed against one of our own. The first step to this committment is being committed to our OWN pain enough to not let God go in prayer and intercession, until we know that we are free, and won't be a stumblingblock or transfer our own tribulations onto the one we're supposed to be liberating. As we persevere in prayer for others, prayers, and favor are being deposited into our spiritual "banks" because our turn will perpetually come. Hug somebdy! Edify someone or send them a card, or buy them a single rose, a good book, or take them for a meal (it can be a HAPPY MEAL), and offer to listen, AND agree in prayer. Be tenacious if you have to, when you know your sister is really bothered about something but is vague about it or refuses to talk about it. God's people have committed suicide many times because there was no one committed to their pain. Don't allow that to ever be on your conscious, and remember, there's One seated at the right hand of the Father, ever making intercession for you. Now THAT"S COMMITTMENT!
