When we are truly born again and I mean truly, that gets the devils attention. The devil knows that he is going to lose people to Christ and the KIngdom of heaven but he hates it. What gets the devil and his demons angrier is when we begin to walk in our authority and begin to damage to his kingdom.
The following is a very brief story about a situation that I had in 1989.. If you read the introduction to my book, "Radical People Win" which is in the group section, you will have read that when I came back to the Lord, that he had me in prayer, study and meditation from 4 to 8 hours a day for nearly 4 years. As I became wiser and more proficient in prayer, I began to do serious warfare against Satan and his kingdom, (with knowledge but not much wisdom). The devil attacked my body. I went from 225 lbs to 157lbs in a matter of about 2 months.
I moved from Ct. temporarily to NC to recouperate. As my strength and weight returned over the weeks and months, I felt like getting some ice cream one night, actually it was Christmas eve. I went to several stores looking for ice cream but the only place I could find it was a little gas station which was out of my way. When I was leaving an old neighborhood friend ( A prophet) saw me. I hadn't seen this person in perhaps 15 years. He stopped me and told me everything that I had been going through ( God revealed it to him)... One last thing he said was, the reason you are going through is because your warfare praying has done much danage to Satan and his kingdom. He no longer is sending his soilders against you. He is sending his leiutenants aginst you to kill you.
My point when you are really warring for God. The devil has your name on speed dial. The message that Satan spped dials to his imps is to steal from him or her. kill him or her and lastly destroy him or her.
Whatever you do for God, keep this 7 things on your mind and part of your life.
1. God's love
2. Strong faith
3.Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge
4. Sound counsel and a prayer partner
5. Powerful vision
6. Courage
7. Humility
I share this story to help others as they go forward to do what God has called each one to do and that as we go forward, we have a real enemy. Our primary focus should be on Jesus not Satan but we cannot be ignorant of his devices.
