DON'T "ARCHIVE", DELETE!

If you really stop and consider, memories are some of the most powerful, intangible things in existence. You can't see, feel,taste, or touch them, but the "sounds" they make, can torment, and vex your mind to no end, and they never seem to want to leave you with peace, especially the bad or undesirable ones! Memories are what compel many murders, "postal shootings, and vigilante activites. It is the handi-work of memories that drive some abuse victims into a "schizophrenic haze", or a crack delirium, or maybe an alcohol oblivion! It is "memories", that perpetuate the generational curses of child abuse, emotional unavailability, the inability to love or demonstrate affection, neglect, slothfulness, and other dysfunctional patterns. Yes, "memories are the 'stuff" of bad dreams, nightmares, and distorted visions! When a serious imbalance and preoccupation of morbid, or painful thoughts continues in an individual's life, it's probably time, to call a solemn assembly of "four", with you, the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, and allow them to "interrogate" you, until the source of your despair, emotional upheaval, and restlesnes are uncovered, and handled! The first thing the Holy Ghost inquiry will ask you is "WHAT are you remembering?" You will have to put everything on "mute" and pause, and sit and meditate, and allow the Holy Spirit to bring all things to your rmembrance, and be honest with yourself, the Father, and the Son, because you already know that you "can't lie to the Holy Ghiost!" The Son may "piggy back" off of the line of questioning initiated by the Holy Ghost, and ask you "WHO are you remembering? The Son may very gently, and in a barely perceptible "still small voice" ask you "WHY are you remembering?" All of these questions are more than pertinent, intelligent and reasonable,and they will take a cooperative, yielded person, who is not bound by denial, pride, or the thought-binding demons of hell, to the doorway of utter deliverance and liberty, but there are two major things they must do, or decisions they must make! There is an old Roberta Flack song that goes "memories, like the shadows of my mind.....", but monsters, and tigers, and bears, Oh my, hide or lurk in the shadws, and they come to do no good deed, but to perform the "dark things" of darkness, and to extend their "blackness", and sinister influence into yur days,and daytime thoughts! Why, indeed, are you holding on to, feeding, nurturing, pampering, breast feeding, and coddling the destructive thoughts and musings of a "yesterday's "horror" that alters your mood, drives you to "drink, or causes you to "take to your bed",with the covers pulled up aound your ears? Why is "HE" still in your private "archives" with his own "file folder",or occupying a spot in your "MySpace", that he's not paying one dime for? The memory of "HIM" is not your "friend" and you need to pray for the strength and resolve to hit "delete", and cancel that memory of all the abuse, molestation, mistreatment, and whispered perversion and threats, for good! Ask God to give you the same motivation, to, without hesitation "delete" these memories, like you would if they were overdue bills, you know you can't pay! There's a reason you can't stop smoking, because that nicotine and the repetitive action of inhaling, puffing and exhaling, drives the demons of "memories" back into their shadows, if they're not choking from the fumes of your "Kool 100's lights"! Are your "memories"serving a purpose", and are they an excuse for you to never progress beyond where you are, or to have more than what you've got? Do your memories take on a "human form" and embodiment when you reach or the "delete" button, and they either shame you, bully you, or frighten you into not following through? Are you afraid that you won't know what to do without the familiarity of their companionship, as bizzare and dysfunctional a relatioship this may be, with your own thughts? Why does your hand "freeze" in mid air when you reach for the button that accesses your memory "archives",and you find yourself fleeing back into that familiar zone of denial, and repression, as you secretly entertain the murmurings,mutterings, and muted whispers of the "them" of your memories? Don't you know that they are occupying space and "files" that more of Jesus, and the wisdom, knowledge, and uderstanding if Him could occupy? The reason you have no more testimonies than you do,is because your "archives" are alreay filled with "stuff", and the "dust bunnies" and "lint balls" of your past memories! Archives were designed to catalogue and preserve pertinent, progressive, and useful information,and these matters that hinder and shackle you, prevent you from becoming who you reallly are, loving the way you should, receiving love the way that you could, and "mothering" and "fathering" productively, and with affectionate care, don't meet any of the criteria, or justify the use of the "space". The Bible says to "let this mind be in you, that is also in Christ Jesus", and I really don't believ tha the memories that occupy your mind, are on the mind of God! He said "This, you do in remembrance of Me"!, but you can't be remembering Him and all the "junk" that clutters your archives too. The Bible declares that "As a man thinketh (remembers) SO is he! Is that really what you want to be, the abused child or man/woma of yesterday, or wasn't the time you spent being that because you had no say, or power back then, enough for you? You really need to consider what's not only "ON" your mind, but more importantly, what's "IN" your mind, not just for a healtier more productive "mental health", but because you shouldn't have the "memories" of Christ keeping company with the memories of the "boogeyman" and the other "creatures of the night" that people and crowd your archives! One is going to cancel the other out, one way or the other, and "remeber" this, Christ is a Gentleman, and He won't force his way into your archives, if they mean that much to you ,that you choose a life of the "chamber of horrors",over "joy unspeakable" and full of gory!! It is far more prudent and beneficial to you to "think on" or "remember" these thigs, that are good, just, lovely, pure, and of a good report, but in order to do so, you must make a determination, and gain a resolve to go to your mental "archives", lift yoir strongetest "index" finger, and come down on that "delete" button with authority, assurance, and a persuasion that I'm,clearing my files, so that the "more" of God may have access to the 'MORE" OF ME!
