2. The Wife
(a) Must be a lover (Tit. 2:4)
(b) Must be submissive to her own husband (Eph. 5:22; Col. 3:18; 1 Pet. 3:1)
Submission – a willing, loving giving of oneself to one’s husband in recognition of his headship of the family
- Wife should affirm her husband’s headship
- Wife should not fight for control (Gen. 3:16)
- There must be an understanding of sameness of person but difference in function
(c) Must be a proper role model
3. Children
(a) Must be obedient to parents (Eph. 6:1)
(b) Must honour father and mother (Eph 6:2)
(c) Yield to the discipleship of parents (Eph. 6:3,4; Heb 12:7-11)
C. The Basic Functions of a Family
1. Must provide protection for family members
2. Must teach proper stewardship
3. Must provide sexual identity for children
4. Must provide the context for the demonstration of love and affection
5. Must provide the context for spiritual development

Social:
1) Money – abundance or absence

9) Unemployment/employment/underemployment
