Wisdom and understanding . And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way : bearing fruit in every good work , growing in the knowledge of God . Evangelism and character are then the fruits of the spirit . John Bunyan wrote , ‘’If I were fruitless it mattered not who commended me ; if I were fruitful , I cared not who did condemn . ‘’ When the individual bears the fruit of Jesus , the Father is glorified .
