Have we taken “come as you are” too far?

Have we taken “come as you are” too far?

I fine it quite interesting that when it come to dressing up a woman, most religions other than Christianity, tend to cover her up completely, especially the Muslims, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism. But when it come to Christianity our women seems to be pulling clothes off. I know the scripture says come as you are, but didn’t that mean if you didn’t have anything else to wear, just come as you are. And wasn’t this really supposed to be applied spiritually? You know, don’t wait to clean yourself up before you come to Christ, but come and allow Jesus to clean you up. What do you think is going on when you hear church Women saying “it’s nothing wrong with being a little sexy,” Doesn’t sexy mean lustful? Sensuality is a common thing in the church these days. Women dressing in tight jeans and mini skirts right in the church? I’m not trying to sound rude, but if we go back about 40 years, wouldn’t these things be considered tramp clothes. I guess you think it’s judging if I assume the worst about a woman if I see her come to church dressed like this . Doesn’t the word also say that you can judge a tree by the fruit it bears, and if I see a person bearing the fruit of salacious behavior, then this person obviously have a spiritual problem. In my home church if women dressed a certain way they couldn’t even sit in the front of the church. As a matter of fact they would have been covered up with a sheet. And that was just 10 years ago. What’s really strange is most Christian churches believed this way about 50 years ago. As time progresses we are going to see more of this in the churches because no one wants to put these women in check. Just imagine if another 50 years go by, women will be wearing thongs with high heels to church. Except the days be shorten there will be no flesh saved. Now what about the men, coming the church looking like pimps and players, some with pants sagging with tall tee-shirts on. Street clothes and being a thug for Christ? It seems to me that Satan is trying to bring Pimps and Whores in the church and no one is saying anything about it. But these ministers sure do preach tithes to them, church full of whores and whore mongers but they pay their tithes. Fornication is at an all time high in the church and the word tells the leaders to put them out of the church, not to give company with them. Now if you are offended by this blog you got to take that up with the Lord, and if this doesn’t apply to you , Amen!

God bless,
Brother Banks
