He's here, He's here!!!

I find it interesting that I often heare this exclamation when there is an excited frenzy and jovial energy in a place where Believers are gathered to worship.

Can the Holy Spirit also be present in a place where Believers are engaged in everyday activity?

The lyrics to a wonderful song are as follows:

The presence of the Lord is here
I feel it in the atmosphere
The presence of the Lord is here

The power of the Lord is here
I feel it in the atmosphere
The power of the Lord is here

Everybody blow the trumpet and sound the alarm
Because the Lord is in His temple, let everybody bow
Let all the people praise Him now the Lord IS HERE!

Have you ever wondered why people don't get excited like that when the fruit of the Holy Spirit is evident in the life of a Believer? I mean, aren't our bodies temples of the Holy Spirit. Should not the glory of the Lord be evident wherever YOU go because He is with you wherever you go?

Yes, there is a difference when the Lord was present as when He showed a part of Himself to Moses, but don't discount His presence in your every day lives either. Or when His train filled the temple as seen by Isaiah in the year that king Uzziah died. The angels repeatedly sang the refrain, "Holy, Holy, Holy" what a glorious sight that must have been?

Do we get excited when a person receives the gift of salvation?
Do we get excited when a person exhibits patience or is gentle or is not puffed up with pride?
Do we get excited when a person begins to show forth the fruit of a transformed life or renewed mind?

Don't get me wrong, I rejoice in the temple because I have reason to rejoice... but....I want to remind you of a passage in Paul's letter to the Thessalonians.

Rejoice ALWAYS
Pray WITHOUT CEASING
Give thanks in EVERYTHING
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus

I Thess 5:16-18

REJOICE when you are at the copy machine
THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IS HERE!!!

PRAY while driving your vehicle around town
THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IS HERE!!!

GIVE THANKS for that closed door, another will open for you soon
THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IS HERE!!!

(by the way, I really do like that song by Byron Cage)
