I had a conversation in the congregation and want to hear your view,,is Once saved always saved? Now remember the story of the Prodigal Son,,he walk away from his fathers house and we walk away from the presence of GOD
ONCE saved, always saved. That is the cry so often heard from many of the pulpits today. "I can do whatever I want, as long as I have accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour. Why I could go out and mow down a crowd of people with a machine gun and if I were to die at that very moment, I would be saved." Many people believe this teaching today, but is it true? Once we have accepted Jesus as our personal Saviour, can we go on living like the world in open, rebellious sin and still be saved. Most people who believe this teaching will quote the following Bible verse as proof: "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38, 39.

Now this is a wonderful Bible promise that God has given us and it should inspire us all. But does it say once a person is born again, it is impossible for him to lose his way and be lost? In fact, is this verse talking about salvation or eternal life at all? No, this verse is clearly talking about God's unconditional love towards man, not unconditional salvation. Salvation is conditional! You might also notice that the word "sin" was not included in the list of things which are unable to separate us from the love of God.

If we continue in sin, after we have asked Jesus to be our personal Saviour, are we really in a saved relationship, are we converted? "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." Hebrews 10:26.

BRO ERIC NO ONE CAN TAKE OUR SAVLTION AWAY FROM US BUT OUR SELF ONCE WE ARE SAVE WE CAN ALWAY BE SAVE BUT IF WE DIE IN OUR SIN WE ARE GOING TO HELL . BECAUS SIN IS NOT APART OF GOD THAT WHY DAILY ASKING GOD TO FORGIVE US IS INPORTANT. SO IT UP TO US TO KEEP THIS GIFT .BELIVING IN IN GO FURTHER THE JUST CONFESSING BELIVING IT IS LIVING IT EVERY DAY . THE GOOD THING IS EVEN THOU WE MIGHT BACK SLIDE GOD DOOR OF FORGIVENESS IS ALWAY THERE .THAT WHY THE BIBLE TEACHES US ABOUT FALSE PROHET. AND WARN US NOT TO FOLLOW THIS DOCTR. BUT TO FOLLOW THE WORD( JESUS CHIRST.) YES GOD PROMISED US ELTERNAL LIFE BUT WE HAV ETO LIVE IT TO RECIVE IT YOU CANT LIVE IN SIN EVERY DAY AND EXPECT TO BE SAVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE ACCEPT JESUS CHIRST AS YOUR SAVER YOU ARE FOOLING YOURSELF THAT NOT THE WORD. HE WILL SAY DEPART FORM ME FOR I KNOW YOU NOT. SO IT IS UP TO YOU TO ALLOW THE HOLY GHOST TO CONTROLL YOUR LIFE .JESUS IS NOT GOING TO FORCE YOU TO LIVE RIGHT. IT UP TO YOU BUT IF YOU ALLOW HIM THEN HE WILL SEAL YOUR SALVATION WHAT WILL HE SEAL SIN FOR?

What!!!! God a liar!!! You talk like a mad man
the prodigal we don't know if he had the Holy ghost ,,, since Jesus told the parable and the Holyghost came after he was crucified and he said that he must go so that the comforter to come then according to his word NO the prodigal had no Holyghost,,, but he came to himself he did not creat the gospel he remembered his fathers house,,And we should follow that example your lifestyle cannot enter in

The idea us not to recycle or stay in sin!!! The idea is to know that you can't live riding in the car of sin free and expect to go to heaven,,now everyone that God use in the Bilble knew this but when it comes to todays man we seem to have a problem,,this is why I was taught growing up Holiness or hell,,but when Hell is allowed in the church and Bible teachings then we come up with this idea that it don't take all that

No one can't pluck them from his hand!!! What about the ones that jump out of his hand?? You see like the prodigal son, some people just walk off but when they come to therself and repent then and only then will the father will receive them,,read 2croncles7:14

That's a good point but everyone see a differrent view,,people somtimes can hear the word and create there own Ideology of the gospel,,this is why we don't have a sin free pass beause we are saved. The only weak minded are the ones that won't research the matter ,
now you haves street ministry you can preach salvation and they can't or can receive but there are going to be times where this question will come up and they are going to want to hear truth,, because so manychurches preach once you receive Christ your good till the second comming regardless of sin,, wich I know is a lie

This easy believism, greasy grace is the reason sinners when baptised go down a dry sinner and come up a wet on. They are never told what the definition of sin is therefore they never experiene "true" repentance.

Another problem, many people were baptised as children, yet we see no example of child or infant baptism in the NT.

How can a child who doesn't understand repentance, repent and then enter the eternal covenant with their Creator and Savior, when he or she really doesn't understand what a really covenant is?

It is a topic that can ruffle feathers ,because people are being taught that once saved they can do whatever they want.and your right man of GOD it is not a true teaching ,,but it is being taught that they're are..I even had people show scripture that co-signs they're statements
