Loose the Stronghold III
Hello to all...............A stronghold is defined as a fortress or a guarded territory that invades the mind and thought process holding it hostage.
Ask yourself this question today: "Why do I keep going back when God has already set me free?" It's like being released from prison and then turning around and going back saying, "Let me back in please!" This is what many of us do when dealing with strongholds. God has delivered us from that abusive relationship but we keep going back to it. What's interesting is we'll talk about others who keep going back to certain things that are not healthy for them, but we go back to things that are not healthy for us. We tell ourselves that the person is going to change. It has been years and the same thing is still occurring. That is usually a sign that the person is not going to change. How about this....if God can't change him/her, how can you? Remember there are some people that will choose to be the way they are. They will miss God because of disbelief. You don't want to be connected with these individuals. The stronghold keeps you attached to them and God has opened the door many times for you to be delivered but you keep going back.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY....................................................
"And God spoke all these words, saying, 'I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me." Exodus 20:1-3
I believe that if God is the one that brought us out, then He has the right to want to be first in our lives. We often get delivered from something and we'll make this promise while in the midst of it........"God, if you get me out of this, I'll NEVER come back to it!" How many times have you made that "amnesia promise?" An amnesia promise is a promise that you make then forget you made it. As soon as God moves in your life, you'll stay away from the bondage for a while but then you go right back to it. That's because you were delivered from the issue but not from yourself. It's time to get delivered from me, myself and I. The stronghold is within you and it controls your mind. So when the issue is separated from you, you still have your mind. God said it's done! Now keep it that way and stop going back!
