Ministering out of Relationship or out of Prostitution?

Ministering out of Relationship or Out of Prostitution?

Many people today minister out of prostitution rather than out of the Levitical order. Their motto is, “Pay and we’ll play.” (This refers to the fivefold ministry gifts and to musicians.) Their ministry is not out of service or relationship. God wants the members of His house to be related and joined and to be joyful about the union as well. The attitude should be that you are where you are because God has placed you there. (Question did you ask God?). You should have joy knowing that you are in the purpose of God. While the Levites, those who obey God, say, “I am ministering to the Lord, and I am here because He has sent me,” the prostitute say, “if you stop paying I will stop playing, Or I will preach 15 minutes and go home, or I will prophecy a lie and go home.

A time is coming when the musicians in the house of the Lord will be supported by the ministry, because they are part of the ministry. They must have the spirit and the vision of the house in which they minister. If not, they will not be able to minister within the spirit of that house. A prophetic psalmist will be able to minister in any house being lead by the Spirit of the Lord. (In one instance, this is the difference between relationship and Prostitution).

The prophet and pastor within a local church must also have a relationship, or else they will have contention. The devil will try to intimidate the pastor, and generally, pastors are by nature some of the most intimidated people in the world. This is not the will of God, and He is seeking to remove this intimidation. As members of the church transcend hindrances like this, they enter into relationships and have a honeymoon and are full of excitement because of their new-found love.

Church relationships, like a marriage relationship, are based upon covenant rather than a social institution. Many people come to church just to say they are Christians, some come because the devil sends them. We do have those that come because they love God and they desire a intermit relationship with the father. In a marriage, certain questions need to be asked before entering the covenant. It must be determined if the relationship has a future. This is why the Bible says, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 6:14). Whether in a marriage or within the church, if you are unequally yoked, you will not be able to exercise the measure of dominion that God has given you.

When I look back over my life as a marine, it is amazing to me to have seen so many young men who had problems with rebellion and authority. (I had a big problem back then with it). This is similar to when God must go to great lengths to bring us into the position that He wants us in. Some people are under what appear to be wicked, dictatorial leadership. But, it is possible that God has them there so that He can break them, change them, or correct them. Even David was under a certain type of king so that God could make him a king after God’s own heart. David would not have been a success in the Kingdom if it weren’t for Saul.

We must understand that it was not Jesus’ friends who crucified Him, but His enemies. Likewise, if we are going to be crucified, it will not be done by ourselves or our friends. Yet, we must be crucified for Christ. So, we need to consider the cost of the relationship, of being joined to Christ. Note: to become a prophet, which means to become a foundation, you must be willing to be walked on.

2: And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. Ephesians 2:20.

So are you ministering out of Relationship or Out of Prostitution?

God Bless you.
