No, really, it isn't lonely at the top.

Genesis 22:1-5

"And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you."

When God is going to elevate you – He calls you out, leads you to the mountaintop. Not everyone can go with you to where God is taking you. And it is not always an easy road, but know that GOD is with you. Some things are just for you & God alone. Not everyone can handle your sacrifice. Some people just don’t understand. When you focus on the higher calling in your life with God, you must be willing to sacrifice something so valuable and precious to you – just as Abraham took Isaac, in obedience to God – he was willing to sacrifice is precious son, his heir, and when God saw his faithfulness – God blessed both Abraham & Isaac, & provided Abraham with a substitute sacrifice. And God provided His only Son as the ultimate sacrifice for you . . . Your family may not understand, your friends may not understand – they may persecute you for it, and they will have to stay behind. And that is not always easy to leave your loved ones behind. But that’s ok, God will give you everything you need, greater is your reward with Him, than anything you get from man. . . . It is not about your ability – but your availability & your willingness to TRUST GOD with your life.
