It is a reality that there are people in the "church world" who have lost there way and use the church as a money/honey pot. There are those who never found the way and came into the church for the express purpose of using its resources for personal gain. I understand that a pastor in my area declared to his church that the church would make him rich. It is a rather large church but you never say things like that. Then there are those who truly love God and strive to remain in the way of truth (some of them have become prosperous through wise investment, business and networking). When people from each of these groups are equally prosperous how do you tell who is wealthy by wicked means ,through trickery and deceit? And who is wealthy through godly means(wise investment, revelation from God and etc.)
God does want his men and women propsperous.
Secondly, what do you do with Christians who are taught truth, taught proper biblical principles of wealth but are lazy and are not doers of the word? Many of them become angry when the pastor or leader of integrity who is practicing the principles he or she teaches, becomes very well and then are accussed of stealing from the church.
The devil is busy! We must have more prosperous saints and less aints.
What do you all think about this?
