I would like to thank you for your participation and or prayers on this past Saturday. I want to thank pastor Stephen Boda and his wife and congregation as well as pastor Jimmie Gwinn and his wife and congregation for hosting this 3 hour event with eternal results. It was a beautiful day at a quarter to 4 people started gathering I could feel expectation in the air. The Dream center sent their Grill Ministry to feed the people. What a blessing.
At 4 or a little after our DJ, DJ G started pumping the music and the crowd got more lively. We greeted the crowd and gave a brief synopsis of what was the cause. "...to stimulate hope, help, and unity in the community. After that we played Man In The Mirror. by the late Micheal Jackson. The message touched the people as well as the memory of the artist. Then came the song by the Winans " It's time to make a change" By that time the rally was in full swing.
Will Ward was our first live artist with a powerful performance that literally rocked the crowd with rhyme, reason, and resurrection power. Then came Quazzie with a spoken word and holy hip hop. I thank God for these brothers as I call them ministers of the gospel that happen to rap.
A spirit of benevolence came upon me to give some money away to those in the neighborhood. When I spoke it, while I was going in my wallet Pastor Boda and others began coming up putting money in my hand to add to the pot. when it was over we had over 100 dollars. We 50.00 to two people it bless not only the recipients, but those in the crowd.
My brother Gregg and his wife Shirley and soon after that my dad and my step mom came. This was defiantly a family affair. My wife Ruby's cousins from Arkansas was in town and came to the rally as well as brother Frank and his family from Jennings. I had the crowd to chant "Happy Guitar" and Gregg went to the car and got it . Have guitar will travel.
He played a couple of songs and one of the O Gs from the hood start dancing he was a little juiced but he got the party started.I preach for a bit on that q and made the alter call and 16 people raised their hands and prayed the believers prayer. 7 people committed to pastor Boda in the church. The party continued with Li Biz and Saved a.k.a. Glorious B I G. Alias Tragic also testified and rapped. Evangelist Smith donated books she authored to give away, what a blessing.
So since June 13th 122 souls has been led to the Lord.
