Again Congress has presented a "Quickie": a poorly thought out plan that stuffs the pockets of political supporters and does little to solve the problem. With 800 billion dollars being spent for future generation to repay, we should make sure that every penny is going toward a measure that will stimulate the economy. The solution is for the money to go toward JOBS. $800 billion dollars is enough to put 10 MILLION people to work for years. We need to designate the entire plan to a grant that will supplement payroll where state, local governments, federal agencies and businesses with 15 or more employees can apply, with the monies being disbursed according to the need for the position and viability of the proposal. Putting Americans to work will stimulate the economy, reduce foreclosures, etc. Any plan that does not wholesale put Americans to work is NO PLAN at all. Get involved and write your congressman!
