Joel's Message: destruction (1:15). The sun and moon grow dark (2:2,9-10). Turn give me your heart, RENDER YOUR HEART, NOT YOUR GARMENTS, NOT YOUR SOLEMN FEASTS OR CELEBRATIONS.

Joel (2:12-13). Worship through prayers of intercession and repentance (2:17); by rejoicing (2:23); be saved (2:32); dwell with God (3:17).
In the midst of a national economic disaster caused by drought, famine, and hordes of locusts, The Word of the Lord came to Joel..........Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain (1:1; 2:1).

"Th trumpet was often used to "Call the People Together". However, the trumpet was also used as an alarm to "Warn of an Attack (Num. 10:1-9). In this instance, it is used to alarm the people to the crisis that is upon them because of their sinfulness.

Ezekiel 36:23 "And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them: and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes, For My Glory must be revealed in the earth", saith God.!!!!! NO man shall hinder or deter my Coming!!!

For !!!!!Warnings---Prophecy} does not come to scare you or hurt you, it comes to bring change, in the earth... For 2 Chron 7:14, If my people, who are called by my name,will humble themselves and pray....[paraphrase] seek HIs face}."

When God's people humble themselves, seek His face in Prayer and Turn from their wicked ways; God hears from Heaven, reverses His temporal judgment, renews the land and ours out His blessings vs18-20] In other words, God answers the Humble Prayers of His People that come from "Repentant Hearts".. Furthermore, persistent and sincere prayer fro revival, will result in the Outpouring of God's Spirit upon His people.(vs 18-22}

The Word of the Lord has been coming to His Body of Believers'' The word of the Lord, has been sent to "The Church", "His Bride", yet many are angry, many have turned, deaf ears & have rejected "The Prophets", giving heed to seducing spirits; many refuse to heed to the voice of God through His Prophets:

They stone and kill the Prophets", that speaketh the Word of God; But they Stone the Prophets"", that speaketh the word of God.

Joel's message was a call for the soul-searching repentance which leads to submission to the Lord. True repentance is Two-Fold -- A GODLY Sorrow for sin against God, as well as others, and forsaking all sin to live for the Savior as Lord of our lives.

It was the desire to submit to the Lord that led about 120 people to assemble in an upper room on the Day of Pentecost.
WHAT ARE YOU FULL OF HOLY GHOST WINE, OR WINE OR THE SPIRITS?

IS TODAY'S CHURCH PLAYING, PARTYING, DRINKING, REVELLING, COMMITTING SPIRITUAL ADULTERY?

IS IT JUST US, OR IS ANYONE ELSE, OUT THERE SEEING SUCH THINGS OF GROSS SIN AND DISORDER IN THE CHURCH?

THINGS SUCH AS CHEATING, DECEIVING, WOLVES ABUSING THE SHEEP, UN-CLEANNNESS, ADULTERY, WHORING, DISHONORING, CONTAMINATING GOD'S ANOINTING, IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD??

WILL THIS CONTINUE, OR WILL THE TRUE CHURCH REPENTING, TURN FROM THEIR FROM WICKED WAYS, WHILE YET, PREPARING THE WAY OF THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

ISA 58:1"Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show the people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sin."

The Prophets cry out against the people sins like a mighty trumpet blast the transgressions and hypocrisy of God's people must be revealed. If God's messengers fail to point out "The Sin", of HIS people, they are not "Faithful" to Gods Call".

Joel intensifies his warning by referring to ""Darkness and gloominess", symbols of Judgment and destruction. The appropriate response to God's day of Judgement is "Fear", trembling and a "Contrite Heart" before the Lord,

VS.13 The Prophets calls for brokenness and a contrite heart." [Ps. 51:17]If the people would turn from their sins to God, He would have compassion and show mercy to His True Church",,His Bride", as He calls them to sincere repentance.

Vs 17> THE MINISTERS OF THE LORD:When ministers and "Church Leaders", see hurt and devastation among Gods people, they are the ones who should lead the way in turning to God with a broken heart, with weeping and with intense prayer....

God expects them to intercede earnestly, for Him to spare His people from physical and spiritual calamity; He wants them to lead night and day, outpouring of HIS Favor and Holy Spirit upon them.. vv18-29] ONLY then will the people be restored and renewed in their love for dedication to God."

Apart from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, it is impossible for a person to have true life and to follow God's ways; It is essential for All 5-Fold leaders walk repentant, remain open to the Voice of God and His move."

The Apostle Paul also illustrated our great need to be controlled by the Holy Spirit when he wrote: Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit (Eph. 5:18). This warning against the evils of drinking wine (all alcoholic beverages) may seem out of place until we recognize that Paul is illustrating how all alcoholic beverages do have the power to control the human body .

There are no exceptions and it is unmistakably clear: Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. . . . Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder (poisonous snake) (Prov. 20:1; 23:31-32). (Satan seeks to destroy you.)

In contrast, when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, He lovingly provides wisdom to guide our thoughts, our attitudes, and our actions

Be not deceived: neither adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind . . . nor drunkards . . . shall inherit the Kingdom of God (I Cor. 6:9-10).
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy (Prov. 28:13).

Thought for Today: Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the Glory of God (I Cor. 10:31).

CHRIST REVEALED: As the One who said: I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh (people) (Joel 2:28) -- fulfilled in part on the Day of Pentecost and still being fulfilled today (Acts 2:16-18).

I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT:As Joel the Prophet predicts a day when GOD would pour out HIS Spirit; so are God's NOW End-Time Prophets, declaring, crying out"" Repent, That He may pour out His Spirit" For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord"......shall be saved"

ISAIAH 1:16-20 "Wash ye, make you clean: put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes, saith the Lord."........

VS.32 This Outpouring will result in a charismatic flow of the Spirit and Prophetic Manifestations, among God's people.. Peter quoted this passage on the day of Pentecost", explaining that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on hat day, was the beginning of the fulfillment of Joel's Prophecy..[ Acts 2:4-21}

GOD'S FORGIVENESS IS NOW AVAILABLE, FOR ALL WHO, THOUGH THEY HAVE SINNED, CONFESS THEIR SINS, REPENT AND ACCEPT GOD'S CLEANSING THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST..

''VS 20..IF ANY REFUSE AND REBEL WILFULLY, CLINGING TO THEIR OWN WAY, WILL EVENTUALLY BE DESTROYED.....

FOR GOD INTENDED TO PURE AWAY THE DROSS, AND ALL EVIL, TO RESTORE A REMNANT WHO WILL REPENT..... VS.18-19-26-27.
