Philippians 2:3-5) "Don't act out of selfish ambition or be conceited. Instead, humbly think of others as being better than yourselves. Don't be concerned only about your own interests, but also be concerned about the interests of others. Have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had."

1 John 3:17-18} But if anyone has this world's goods and sees his brother and fellow believer in need, yet closes his heart of compassion against him, how can the love of God live and remain in him? Little children, let us not love merely in theory or in speech but in deed and in truth in practice and in sincerity. (Amplified Version)

God has been bringing these two Scriptures to my heart in prayer this morning. It is sad in these days to see the ''great falling away'' happening before our very eyes. Many Christians have walked away from their walk with God and doing their own thing. They don't even want to be in the company of Christians who are hot and on fire for God. They don't have to say a word you can see it in their eyes and in their body language. So many of God's children have received lies from Satan. Like what you may ask? Well, one thing is that they don't need to be in church anymore. That goes against the word of God to not forsake the assembling together of yourselves. There is a great and powerful anointing in the Body of Christ when we assemble together. There is also an umbrella of protection for us.

Many Christians have been so wounded that the smallest word said against them in any way is received as rejection and they quickly leave the very place where God has placed them. Many of them need to be with the Body in order for God to bring healing and deliverance. Whatever works to keep us away from the Body of Christ and from the Word of God we can be assured Satan will use it against us. He knows all our weak points and he will press those buttons. His assignment is to divide and conquer. He pulls people away from the Body, from the churches, from the Word of God and then comes in for the kill. He is more passionate at doing that in these days because God's Spirit is moving powerfully and miraculously and setting people free.

Many Christians today have given up on their walk because they grew tired of being hit with sickness and disease. It's so easy to give up and walk away. But it takes great spiritual courage to keep on keeping on. God said that we would suffer some things but the truth is that we would overcome them all because He did. He said He would deliver us out of them all! But sadly many do not believe God's promises and will not trust Him long enough to prove His word. I'm speaking from experience. Those who know me know that the devil has attacked me mercilessly in many ways, but yet shall I trust and praise my God. And when I do, deliverance comes! Yes, we will get hit, we have an enemy who hates us. But God loves us and will pull us through everything. Not only that but we can be assured when we have that breakthrough that great blessings await us. God desires us to be still and know that He is God. He will prove Himself every single time. Trust and believe, that is what we need to do more and more as the days grow more and more evil.

Many Christians today see needs all around them and can do nothing about it, they turn the other way to ignore those needs or just plain don't do anything about it. They pray about needs but never follow through with some kind of action. As the Scriptures say today, don't do it just in theory and in speech, but in deed and action. When we are truly transformed into the image of God, when we truly are filled with the love of God, our own interests will take a back seat and we will purpose every day to look to see who we can bless. So many of us are caught up with our own needs that we have become selfish and self-centered. We need to remember that God will not always speak pretty words that we want to hear. He will speak what needs to be said and He will correct and rebuke. Whom the Lord loves He chastises!

I have found in my life that when I reach out and bless someone in some way the Lord always brings it back to me over and above what I've given out. And yes, even out of my own need I have found ways to bless someone. I"m not blowing my own horn here, I am just trying to get the point across that when you sow, you will reap! We should not operate by this world's means. We have a God of supernatural ways of blessing us. He fed thousands of people in the desert for 40 years, they never went hungry. He kept them clothed, their clothes never wore out. He gave them water to drink, they never thirsted. And the greatest thing He did is make Himself very real to them and led and guided them every day with a fire by night and cloud in the morning. And all this while they were still under the curse. How much more would God take care of us now that we are under His grace? Much more! Now we have His Spirit! Whatever measure we give out, it will be returned to us. So let us begin today to give generously so that it will be given to us good measure, pressed down, shaken together shall men give unto our bosom. But it has to begin with us!

Let us take the church of God out into this world. Visit the sick and pray for them. Visit those who are alone and lonely, those in nursing homes, widows who are alone and abandoned many times, orphans who have no parents, feed people who are hungry, do whatever God shows you to do....fill a need, do something to show the love and generosity of Christ. This is the way church should be today.....they shall know us by our love. Do they? Allow God to fill you up with so much of His love that it oozes out of you. That is how we will draw others to God. Praise and worship God at all times, this is how revival will take hold. God wants to do something amazing through each one of you today. Will you give Him that access? Are you willing? Let us truly walk in the footsteps of Jesus and be His example to a hurting world. Let us not just talk the talk but walk the walk. God bless you. I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more than I ever could.
