WHAT IF YOUR SPOUSE DOES NOT SUPPORT YOU IN THE MINISTRY? I am having a situation now that i am officially in the ministry with my spouse not supporting me, I always have to chose between Him and doing what God would have me to do. I spend time, I cook and take care of Him and the children but it's as though nothing I do is never enough. He knew I had a call on my life when we first met, but it's like this wall that has been put up in the emotional area, there is no spiritual connection and He won't even go to church on a regular basis, but that has been going on for a while any way. I know God is able and that He can fix it but I need to know that I am not the only one that had to endure this.
I feel compelled to invite you to tonight's prayer call. I sense and believe that God is gooing to speak and minister to those who will call in. 1(712) 451-6000 Access Code 102920# 9:00pm EST Tonight

Heb 6:1 THEREFORE LET us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ, advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God,"

I have not had any issues of acceptance from our congregation because we began as a team. We respect each other, I respect my husband as the Senior pastor. God gave him the vision. We discuss most things and if I disagree I have to choose to not only accept his decision but I must support it with the congregation. Pastoring is a type of spiritual parenting so we must present a unifed front with the congregation. My husband insisted from day one that the congregation respect me. He protects me and when there are issues that are rough for me he gladly is my knight in shining armor. It is so important to work on our marriage as Pastors, when we counsel pastors whatever issue they are having in their home and relationship will impact the House of God.
