At my church i am a servant who obeys the leadership of my beloved Pastor, and i serve whereever i am asked or needed. The greatest ministry in the church for me is cleaning the church. No matter what gifts God has placed in my life, I GET REAL EXCITED CLEANING THE HOUSE OF GOD. I TRULY ENJOY SERVING OTHERS NO MATTER WHAT THERE STATUS QOU IS. I LOVE WITNESSING AND WINNING SOULS FOR THE LORD.My personal ministry Beyond The Ministries is almost 13 years old. The ministry deals with battered women and men, children, or seniors.I deal with all ages and levels of abuse.I will report all physical abuse, whether it be female or male ,grown or child. noone will ever suffer what i did as long as i have a voice. My goal is to become a Christian Psychologist. I deal with people who are fighting to come out of the prison mind mentality, both naturally & spiritually. I help to search for Jobs,food,clothing, and/or shelter. Psalms 91 is my favorite chapter, but, romans 12:1-3 helps me stay on top. I have not always walked in where God has chosen for my life. From being a severely battered wife for loving God, working and singing in the church, who had the song beat and kicked, and stomped out of me. Stomped on and used by church folks, literally spit on in my face, propositioned by Pastors,Elders,Deacons & some sisters too. I found myself not being able to trust God for what he truly had for me and my life. When I needed the church the most to help me get back to God after being critically wounded, there was a sign {people's actions} that said, We don't want your kind here, we have enough problems, take it somewhere else. I said good-bye to the church folks and the church house. I put up a wall and literally walked around with locks on me to keep folks out of my life. I lived in a shell of depression for16 years. i smiled on the outside and was ready to take my life, or pray that God would not let me see another day on the inside. I was alone and tormented, with my Saved, Sanctified,Holy Ghost filled self. I was defeated before my feet ever hit the floor each day. There was no dignity or self-esteem left inside of me. I would encourage others,love them,laugh with them, go home and cover up the mirrors,sit in the dark for weeks, and had no good words for myself, or anyone else,while raising a son. I would starve so he would have food. ladies & gentlemen pride will kill you. Because i was so bitter i was being beaten by God with many stripes, the sad thing is i didn't care. I wanted to die.I attempted suicide 12 times, but God had purpose for my life. When I would leave the house looking like SAX FIFTH AVENUE on the outside, only to feel like THE CITY DUMP GROUND on the inside,messed up and living a life of defeat and failure. I couldn't and I didn't even want to dream anymore, or ever again, after all, I thought dreams were for people who wanted something. After being brow beated long enough i knew that it was over, i was told that i would never amount to anything, nor did God need or want me,I was a wasted seed and death was certainly the punishment for me, & even it was to good for me. Through much, so much counselling, both natural and spiritual, fasting and praying, both hoping and believing, after TRUE REPENTANCE AND ASKING GOD TO TRULY FORGIVE ME FOR BEING IGNORANT AND UNLEARNED IN THE THINGS OF GOD THEN, GOD BROUGHT ME OUT!! It TRULY is a STRONG DESIRE in my HEART to SUBMIT,OBEY, and be DISCIPLINED TO DO THE WILL OF GOD. I always tell on myself. If you judge yourself, then another man won't have too. Bishop Jakes, if you should read this page, and i pray that you do, please remember these words," I dont believe that i would be where i am today had God not had sent you to the airways. I had no longer trust in Pastor's,Elders, or anything that looked like a man who said he was God's servant. I was tired of Breath and Britches{a man in a pair of pants}. i was willing to walk away from the church, but not away from God. Your message about the "POTHOLES", & "FAVOR AIN'T FAIR"; "THE EGGS" has really helped me.In my heart everyday i truly am grateful for all the real Pastors AND MEN OF GOD WHO WILL NOT COMPROMISE THE GOSPEL that God has placed in YOUR LIVES. I was really running from the gift of the office of THE PROPHETESS,an Intercessory Prayer Warrior especially for the Pastor & their wives. To all the Pastors on this site , remember this, we need you to help us get to Jesus {through the preaching of the word}. Thank God for you who make a change in our lives. Please never compromise the Gospel.Thank you for allowing me to dream again. I one day will stand on the Black Image Awards and be able to share the vocals that God has given me. I deserve to dream again. I really don't know what i would have done had i not met my Pastor and covering ,and now serve faithfully under. I am truly grateful, for I know one thing is true, that

Your testomony moved me deeply. You remind me of my dear wife of 34 years. She was beaten by a former husband for defiantly going to church. Though se is an Elder and teacher in her own right: She most loves cleaning God's house. You have seen her page on anointedofgod.ning.com

Subject: A Need For Men and Women of God in Politics!

Dear Preachers and Those in Ministry:

I need some bold preachers to go with me into the lion’s den!

I am a veteran African American Republican who in 1979, God sent into the Republican Party to bring about change and to bring down the walls of prejudice and call the party back to the place of its original birth as the Party of Lincoln.

This has not been an easy battle. I have shared those experiences in the book I wrote, Black Eyes Shut – White Lips Sealed (victorysongcollectionspublications.com). Yet I have stood against all odds, and now it is time to take it to the next level.

What I have seen is that the racism, mean spiritedness and the foolishness that is within the Republican Party is mostly at the top. Those who rise to the top, in most cases are the perpetrators. But when you go to the grass roots level, this almost is not there or it is in lesser degrees. Many at the grass roots level are those who believe what we believe, work with us and even share sweet fellowship. However, when you begin to get involved at the party level, this is where the demons of racism rear their heads and stand as gatekeepers.

Having taught American Government, State and Local Government and International Politics and Culture of Non-Western Countries as a political science professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, I understand government at all levels – even globally. I know what it will take to break the hold and to get pass the political gatekeepers. Sit-in and protests will do absolutely nothing! Even prayer alone will not suffice. But with the power of prayer, as well as the wisdom of God, we have to move into both parties and carve out a place for ourselves as Americans, if we want to share in America’s political power base. Yes, this means moving even into the Republican Party.

As the national chair for the Black Republican Women Organization, I began back in 1987 recruiting African American women into the GOP, who were not willing to be tokens, but who could retain their blackness.

Presently, I head the National Republican African American Caucus. It is a unique republican organization because it allows African Americans to be a part of a collective body that can and will bring about change. Our goal is 1.5 million by 2012, and 500,000 in 2010. You may ask why so many? It is because political strength is in numbers! In politics, believe it or not, it has very little to do with color. It has to do with numbers and the ability to write the check. If you can show you have a substantial number of people who can stand as a voting block, and have the ability to finance your own cause, then you become a significant player within the political landscape. This is the ONLY way that we gain and retain political power. This is how we as African Americans get to the table, have a voice and place ourselves in appointed and elected positions. This is how we stop some of the foolishness that is going on in politics.

As an African American Republican, I proudly voted for President Obama in the general election. But his ability to win was because he was able to get beyond the gatekeepers and become a political player within the Democratic Party. Now we have to do the same thing within the Republican Party!

Having said all of this, I need men and women of God who will join with me to fulfill this mandate, and will join the NRAAC and even begin local caucuses. I don’t want everyone! Because it is important to remain political players in both parties. We need to be in the Democratic and Republican parties. I just need a significant number of praying people, and those who are strong and can take a stand for what is right to come into the Republican fold, so that our voices are heard.

I ask you to go to the NRAAC website at www.nraacaucus.org and see what we are all about. Then pray about this and see if you are one of the ones who God is saying, “I call you to take a stand on the other side (the Republican Party), so that you can make a difference.”

Also see if perhaps God is calling you to serve in a leadership capacity. In November, we will be making new appointments of regional and state chairs, and advisory board and national board members. If you are interested, and decide to become a member, you may submit your name, bio/resume for consideration.

I look forward to those of you who are godly and truly believe in justice and compassionate, yet self-responsibility and responsible government, joining our ranks!

…And for those of you who already are Republicans, we welcome you to the family of African American Republicans.
