1,050 New Testament Commands

1,050 New Testament Commands

There are 1,050 commands in the New Testament for Christians to obey. Due to repetitions we can classify them under 69 headings. They cover every phase of man's life in his relationship to God and his fellowmen, now and hereafter. If obeyed, they will bring rich rewards here and forever; if disobeyed, they will bring condemnation and eternal punishment.

Barack Obama was sworn in Tuesday as our nation's 44th President

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Barack Obama delivered a sobering assessment of where America stands and a hopeful vision of what it can become during his inaugural address as the nation's 44th president.

President Barack Obama told a crowd at the National Mall that America's challenges are real.

"Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of… Continue

America's New Destiney, The Church Better Get Ready

After witnessing the swearing in of America's first African American President. I recall the words of the former Secretary of Education Bill Benett when he spoke after Obama, won the election. "African Americans can no longer say, "that the man is keeping us down, for now the we are the man. The mind set of can't do and excuses are over and the glass ceiling has been broken." (paraphrased)

We face troubling times but the church should not be surprised for we have prayed over the… Continue

Are "French (wet) Kisses" OK, between Unmarried people?

As we can see for the Masturbation, perhaps we can talk about wet kisses as well. We all know what they are like and if it's between husband and wives it's OK, but is it still OK between unmarried people? ...Perhaps some whould think kissing are not as ...bad as masturbation, but surely it starts a ...sexual arousal in the two people! Now, I am sure that although many believers would not admit of masturbating even if they do, I am sure that there are more believers who would admit of kissing… Continue

On the Day of Inauguration

Greetings precious ones, I do hope you will stand with so many others who cannot make it to DC by wearing something resembling your support of the Change taking place tomorrow. I will be wearing my Pink Obama t shirt to work, if you don't have one, then write his name on a piece of tape and tape it to your shirt, write his name on your wrist, and by all means at at 11:44am EST, take the time to pray with at least one other person, and at 12pm Eastern Standard Time, take 44 seconds of silence to… Continue

Sexual Immorality

The children of Israel were lured away from their relationship with the Lord by sexual sin. God constantly warned Israel not to intermarry and fornicate with the heathen nations around them. Sexual intercourse unites the parties involved emotionally; this is called a SOUL TIE. This is why married couples are not truly married until they have sexual intercourse; it is the consummation of the marriage. When sex takes place between unmarried people they are still emotionally tied to one another,… Continue

Come Down Off The Pedestal Pastors

Pastors have to teach soul-winning to the congregations, NOT just to increase numbers, but to also stir up gifts in the assembly of God. Spiritual gifts are activated when we do ministry, in particular soul-winning. The Gifts of the Spirit are not for show, they are for WORK. Every one of the Gifts are primarily given so we can win the lost and help them get filled with the Holy Ghost and make them disciples of Christ. (Acts 1:8) It grieves the Lord when he sees ministers become hirelings… Continue

Reply to Mark's comment on preachers needing class study as well as on-the-job-trainging

Hello Mark! I started a reply to you, got distracted by something, and when I returned my unfinished reply was GONE! So I'll start over. I agree with you that ministers should have as much classroom education as possible. It's important that it be the RIGHT classroom! I've discovered that every denomination, every Bible College, and every seminary tends to have its own interpretation of Scripture, its own bias, and its own certainty that THEIR interpretation is the "right" one. So I think you… Continue

What is Your Garden of Life Producing?

A productive, healthy, and beautiful garden is the result of proper care on a continual basis.
It is not merely enough to maintain a garden when you feel like it, for behind its outer beauty, much activity is occurring from within. While new flowers are springing forth and roots are re-establishing with each growth spur, there are constant intruders trying to infiltrate its space.

These invaders are part of the community and although they co-habit, they are… Continue

What Can You Discontinue?

If you are serious about mastering the art of simplifying life you must master the habit of evaluating constantly. Listen to your spouse. Ask the timeless question…”Where’s the beef?” Examine and inspect fruit, gains, and losses. Evaluate efficiency and look for ways to build systems and streamline efforts. Every experience in you life teaches something a great question is what did I learn today from life?

Ask daily “What should I discontinue, change and/or add to my life? Last but… Continue

Excuse Me, I'm Just Trying To Grow!

All my life, I've always been short. In elementary school we were expected to line up in size order. I was always first in the line. Early in my years I learned that I would never be tall. Hence my nickname: "Shorty". I realized I would never grow. Although I would never grow in height, I've come to realize that I am now having a growth spurt. I am growing in love, grace and in spirit. I am at a point in my life, where I am trying to grow in God. I'm trying to grow spiritually. I am serious… Continue

Did The Laws of God Exist Before Sinai, According to the Scriptures? Yes, They Did!

Laws Before Sinai

This Is Appendix 15 From The Companion Bible.

The existance of Laws in the book of Genesis and Exodus is evident, though there is no formal record of their delivery. Compare. Exodus 18:16.

Doubtless some were made known to mankind, as such, by God, for example, (1) the Law of the Sabbath (Genesis 2:3). (2) The days noted in the connection with the flood are all sabbaths except one, Genesis 8:5, Tuesday. See note on Genesis… Continue

Break the Secrecy of Sin

It’s a natural tendency for us to want to hide our sin. Adam and Eve attempted to hide from God as soon as they sinned and we’re no different. The devil plays on that tendency, using lies to persuade us to cover our sin with secrecy. Some common lies the devil uses are:

· “They won’t understand”

· “They’ll judge me”

· “They can’t help me anyhow” or “I don’t need their help”

· “They don’t know what it’s like to be me”

If we believe the lies,… Continue
