I'm about to say something that I have heard towards our ending of last year. The Holy Ghost assured me that there are times where you have to be selfish. He let me know that it was okay.............Huh? Well, whenever I hear something that gives me peace but at the same time, according to my understanding, sounds unorthodoxed I depend on God to back up His revealed word with the written word. And He did.

Read Matthew 25 : 1-13

Jesus uses the analogy of 10 virgins to explain the kingdom of heaven, which is the same analogy the Holy Ghost gave reference to when He told me there are times where we have to be selfish. Selfish in the since that we hold back from a certain group of individuals that I will mention here in a minute.

Let's read verses 6-9; " In the middle of the night there was a shout: Here's the groom! Come out to meet him.
Then all the virgins got up and trimmed their lamps. But the FOOLISH ones said to the WISE ones, 'Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out'. "The wise ones answered 'No, there won't be enough for us and for you. Go instead to those who sell, and buy oil for yourselves.'

Have you been helping people who don't help themselves? Have you came up short and they come out strong, like they were the victor the whole time? Have you been giving to people spiritually, materially, etc, who have been comfortable with hand outs? Okay, forget it ! Let's just call them what they are..........MOOCHERS. Have you had these people in your life a lot? There's a difference between people who would and just can't from those who can and just won't.

I'm talking about the ones who can do for themselves and don't. They are comfortable with people doing for them (If this is you, your going to get uncomfortable reading this. But I hope you do).

Let me give a few examples of mooching...........

1. A woman has an idea from God, she's warned not to share it with anybody. Well, she feels it was God telling her to share it, and if it was, she needed to be ask God who to entrust this information with. She ends up sharing it with her Pastor. Long story short, the Pastor ends up stealing the idea and jacking it up. Yep, THE PASTOR WAS A MOOCHER!!! The Pastor ran out of "fresh oil", new ideas, so much that they had to steal someone else's oil.

2. God has giving you revelations from his word. You tell these revelations to someone who fail to spend time with God (reading, praying, etc). And this person has the odasity (however you spell it, lol, someboy correct me) to share these revelations with other people like they got it from God themselves..........MOOCHERS!!!

Moochers take, take, take and don't give. When it's time to do for somebody else, they don't. Well, they may, but they give to the less aggressive moochers. Moochers like to take and appear to others like they have it all together.

You maybe crippling somebody who's lazy. If helping them is hurting you, then please consider this verse in Matt 25:9; "there won't be enough for us and for you".

Now if God has this person in your life and they won't leave, fine. Let Him handle that. Or, you may choose to let this person constantly borrow and take from you. If that's what YOU wanna do, cool. But otherwise, you're supporting a moocher.........a lazy person. Jesus said give and it shall be giving back to you, pressed down, shaken together, running over. At the sametime, you must be mindful about who is really poor and who is not. When He tells you to give, He's doing the giving through you. Other than that, your allowing yourself, and God, to be robbed.

Dr. Leroy Thompson said this pertaining to becoming wealthy, "When God blesses you, don't become God. Be prayerful on who you help because God could be trying to teach them a lesson that you're hindering them from learning". This is so true. I am one that God had, and still is, teaching a lesson. This year, I had to be like DJ Khaled - "be sick and tired of being sick and tired". Something provoked me this year to want to do better. "Insanity is doing the same ol thing and expecting different results", don't know who said that but you could call me "Insane in the membrane" this year (for the fans of Cypress Hill, lol). "I have to go higher than what I know in order to go where I wanna go" - Jason Michael Smith (lol, y'all know that statement was good). But everybody is not gonna get there like I did until they have really, really, really had enough of where they are and choose to change. But til then, speaking symbolically, the dog you feed will keep coming over your house in need.

Down south, the streets say it like this, " I got's to give me me". I encourage everybody to go get what God says is yours, even if it causes you to lose close friends and family members. Do what you gotta do for yourself and let God show you who and not to help.

This is just my perception, Jesus said that we're always going to have the poor among us, right (Matt 26:11)? Let me break down the difference between a poor person and a lazy person,

1. Poor people are people who can't do for themselves. They're not able, literally, not able to do for themselves. And even if they could, they would. That's a poor person. If you can do for yourself and just won't, you choose to be poor and your just being lazy.

2. Poor people may be for lack of knowledge. There are things they probably haven't learned to get themselves ahead in life. But at least their productive. Lazy people, no production. They stay where they are by choice. They don't go get what's there's, they rather have it handed down to them. They blame everybody else for where they are and figure they are due what is owed to them.

This is just my perception, because I have thought like this and I'm coming out of this thinking. I'm observing my thoughts as I make my way out of them. Read and study the book of Proverbs and you'll find that there's a connection between the wise and dilligent as well as the lazy and foolish.

I'm glad I wrote this, I'm gonna do that study my own on self.
