I'm into my 10th day of the 40-day complaint free challenge. Even though I've found out many have long gone to the wayside, I'm still plunging forward.
I've recently experienced a quietness that I like about myself and in that I've found a certain self examination that I exercise more than once a day when I "almost" complain.
Yesterday, I was hurt by something and found that hurt brings a multitude of complaints (that's Tracy 3:7). In addition, it leads to anger.
You know, the bible says to guard your heart. We have to be on watch for our adversary, the devil. He seeks to make us angry. He seeks to hurt us. He seeks to give us complaints. I tried not to dwell on the hurt but it overwhelmed me and I felt my self slipping into a depression. So I just got in my bed and went to sleep.
When I awoke this morning, I looked at my ceiling. There's a large ceiling fan with 5 blades. I heard the Lord say, "GRACE".
Even in the midst of our hurts, he has given us GRACE.
I'm grateful that he is still mindful of us (me).
