Can someone please show me in the Bible where this is permitted and explain the text?
Truly, I have been inspired by all of the comments and insight that have come from many of you!! I wanted to open a discussion that would stir the hearts and minds of many and I did. I can see that it is man vs woman and should not be. My question still remains,,,about Women Bishops!!!! The Bible does not co-sign this. I really believe we all are hung on titles. Whatever you do,,,do it all in the name of Jesus. I wanted to make some points and say some things, so that it would stir your knowledge up and cause you to proclaim what you believe. I can say,,,I have walked into many churches,,,and without sayiing a word or opening my mouth,,,,how can these men detect, discern, or sense that God has a call on my life. AND,,,WHAT, call is that? Glory be to God,,,you see many of us should make sure that our scripture references that we are using to back up your point,,,is not contextual customed to fit in your box of beliefs. My statement to this was about,,,women Bishops,,,and I for one don't agree with the TITLE,,,but I believe that a woman can teach the Gospel,,,and if the HOOP is naturally in her when she delievers,,,then hoop. Whether you want to call it style,,,whatever,,,,we all have our style. So,,if I come to some of your churches,,,I can get turned off by even the way some you hoop or TEACH. Everyone is voicing their beliefs. This is a very sensitive topic,,,and women we must make sure we are wise virtuous women,,,one thing is for sure,,,we are MASTERs at multitasking. If God,,,called you to Sunday School, Evangelist,Prophet, then you must remain a help at home. Men,,,i believe if your wife works, has to take care of kids,,,and does servant service to her local Ministry,,,it just WONT kill you to assist her at home. This is one statement that needs constant understanding and research. Our prayer should be that the LORD will enlighten and reveal to us his truth,,,NOT YOUR OPINION or CONVINCING. You see,,he that wins a soul is wise. We must make sure we ALL speak wisely. God Bless You All And thanks for the replies and the most of all THE WORD!!

not to be semantical Moreh, but I know a cure for cancer, the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross brings healing through believing prayer. I'm a living witness. Agree with you, that I didn't have to pay a dime for it, I only believed.

I also believe God (Yah) can and does heal today... but it's not through the works money... anytime a person says God (Yah) told me to do so and so... and then turn around and say, I need x amount of money to do it... that's when questions come in at...

we have many in our congregation that has been cured from cancer this year alone... but it wasn't by money but by prayer...

Proverbs 3 tells us to honor the LORD with your substance. Many people want GOD to bless them, yet they hold their hands with tight fists; at the same time, there is no price tag on healing.

Amen, I agree also. Healing is the children's bread, and a Kingdom citizen's health plan, not the merchant's product.

On the subject of healing!

The scripture always supports the fact that Yah does heal whomever he chooses. Now, how he heals them is between Yah and His creation. We do not have Yah's thoughts nor do we do things as Yah does. We are specks of dust compared to the vastness of Yah!

Some people are healed here on earth [without immediate physical death]. Others are healed and made free by going to paradise . Sometimes the person, in need of healing may be just, plain old tired of suffering. This person may want to go and be with Jesus. We as outsiders never know what goes on in an individual's prayer life.

Jesus (Yahshua) takes everything into consideration The sick person, The family of the sick person, but most of all the Salvation of the sick person. He may decide to take the person home to Paradise while they are in the right condition and right position before sin destroys the work which has been done in the person through Yahshua.

Humble Yourself, Pray, Seek Yahweh's Face And Turn From Your Wicked Ways

2 Chronicles 7:12-16 reads,

7:12Yahweh appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice. 7:13If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 7:14if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 7:15Now my eyes shall be open, and my ears attentive, to the prayer that is made in this place. 7:16For now have I chosen and made this house holy, that my name may be there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

Heeding Yahweh's words, Yahweh's people should humble themselves, pray, seek Yahweh's face, and turn from their wicked ways. That Yahweh may indeed from heaven hear their prayers, forgive their sin, and heal them and their land, on account of the pestilences Yahweh sent them due to their sins.

It should indeed be noted that Yahweh's healing isn't limited to humans, but also extends to other aspects of his creation, including waters and land.

AMEN Trevor!! that is exactly what happen, there was an article in Charisma Magazine when this first happen, that hinted that his new wife at the time was a great influenance in this matter.

He is currently ministering at a Gay church, (somewhere), he was brought up COGIC as I was, the leaders of COGIC, his mentor, Oral Roberts and other ministers went in love to restore their brother, and he denounce them. Ones can only pray now for him.

You know I'm going to say this, I never wanted to be in ministry, but our callings are not always about us, or me however, me came into a factor in being obedient to God's call.

Now we can go back and forth on this blog forever, because some are not going to recieve the scripture if you give it to them, because they will not study, the background of it and are in bondage to the traditonal topical assertion. (excluding ego infleuance,) we could play post tennis until Jesus says "game"

But one thing I do know if the calling is not of God, it's fruit will show! if it is that will spring forth too. LOVE

Where is the marriage reply coming from. We are just talking about Women Bishops in this discussion. It may be better to reply personally to that individual.

Interestingly enough, not only the Bible proves that there were female Bishops, but Church history does as well. "Episcopa Theodora" (literally Bishop Theordora) was a female Bishop in the Roman Catholic Church under Pope Saint Paschal I (her son) during the 9th century.
