Should a pastor that spends most of his time preaching and teaching get paid for what God has him to do? I know what the scriptures says about this, but would you pastor for free?

That was a foolish comment of yours sir. Honestly! Did you even LOOK at the scripture (Hebrews 3:1) before you started typing?

HEBREWS 3:1-
"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the apostle and chief priest of our profession, Christ Jesus,"
And again I will say that he did not come as an Apostle/ Translators... Get it right no matter What Paul says/ alot of by his own admittance was his own belief.........

Again He IS/WAS THE YESHUA THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.......

YOU KNOW HE WAS ALSO HIGHER THAN MELCHEZEDEK.......

jUST MY OPINION THOUGH SIR... SO SORRY I LOOK LIKE A FOOL TO YOU/ YET HE DID NOT AND DOES NOT SAY THAT HE WAS AN APOSTLE............
If you are a believer in what the Bible says, then be a believer in the scriptures! There is no half way around it. You one minute believe, then the next you don't believe, claiming "thats just Paul's opinion". Thats a double-minded man, they are unstable in ALL their ways.

HEBREWS 3:1-
"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the apostle and chief priest of our profession, Christ Jesus,"

This does not mean that HE was not the Son of GOD.

ACCEPT IT OR REJECT IT.
Again You would do good to go back and research some things/ Paul by his own admission said things that were being spoken of as a Man....

except it or reject it.........

Yeshua/ did not and does not say that he was an Apostle/ The office did not even exist then/ The Father of them yes/ An Apostle No............
Thanx/ Bro.......
How do you know they didn't see the Messiah?

Also, there will be a growth in the definition of things because there is a growth of understanding. Peter had a vague undertanding of just who could be an Apostle (Acts 1). So by Peter's definition, Paul Barnabas and the rest that are mentioned in 1st Corinthians 15:1-9 are all false Apostles. If that were true, then why didn't he and the rest of the 12 rebuke them?
I just want to know were Barnabs was called an apostle? And, having seen the risen Saviour was one of the criteria not the criteria.
True, it is but one criteria. I never said it was the "ONLY" criteria.

As for Barnabas, he was called on in certain places:

-1st Corinthians 9
-Acts 13
bECAUSE EVERY TREE IS KNOWN BY THE FRUIT IT BEARS..........

AND YOU WRITE ABOUT GAMALIEL/ HHHMMMMMMMMAND IT MAKES ME WONDER...........
By your own words then.......
Yes, as long as I am able to have my needs and some of my want taken care of. We are called to minister the gospel, and not fleec the church family. If we love our pastor and respect his or her teachings from the bible of course, we can be a peace with our self by what we already have.

I think it would give the saints of god more time to use there money to get work done in other areas of ministry.
I REALLY DONT KNOW THAT IS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT THE BIBLE SAID A WORKMAN IS WORTHY OF HIS HIRE, BUT ARE PASTORS REALLY HIRED OR CHOSEN BECAUSE I BELIEVE IF YOU ARE FIRMLY ABOUT YOUR FATHERS BUSINESS GOD WILL PRICK THE HEART OF THE PEOPLE TO GIVE TO A GODLY CAUSE BUT TO CHARGE FOR SERVING HIS PEOPLE IS DIFFERENT FREELY WE RECIEVE FREELY WE SHOULD GIVE
