Is God pleased when we use the gifts (or talent) He gives us for our own glory?

In light of MJ dying and his career being thrust back into the front of our eyes it made me think. As talented as MJ was as well as other singers, rappers, actors, and athelets was and is God pleased with the way they choose to use what was given to them? Sure MJ made great music that appealed to our flesh, but lets be real it did not edify our spiritman. So my question is as it is stated above Is God pleased?

Rev,

Its an awesome book. Great middle eastern poetry. Great Hebrew poetry to be exact.. expressing love to the woman you love in all its glory.
And to the rest of the questions and scenario's?
Rev,

I answered the questions you wanted me to answer. Anymore that I miss, post them.
I asked which scenario would the Father not be pleased with. You talked about R. Kelly and that's not what I asked. I asked if the Father would pleased or unpleased. Not #2 is the crazy one and you didnt explain what that meant.
Rev,

Its no need to explain it because you already explained it for me! LOL. God back and re-read your own response. And then, when you do, explain it.
Ok whatever that means.
I think we all have talents that edify the flesh or others delight, they can be a catapult to minister the gospel. Thinking on that coach Dungy? His coaching ability was a gift, but he ministered to his team as well, right now he is doing prison ministry.

It's what and how you use your talents that please God, and God will increase your territory using your talents
Ok, but what made me post this was less about MJ and more about other entertainers for example you remember when Survivour when the lyrics said "I'm not going to compromise my Christianity, cause my mama taught me better than that"? Well in watching the way there career's have progressed would you say they did compromise? I say yeah, but I'm finding I may be in the minority in these matters. I just think we (the local church) are acting like God is pleased with some stuff that He really aint
Answering this question from just a spiritual point of view,i;m sure God can be pleased,if the indiviual is saved, and don;t just give Him the praise after an event that gave glory to the indiviual, because a lot of famous people live the life of God on a daily basis, and i believe God does leave us people to glorify,as long as the people were about kingdom buisness,He wants us to shine, for Him throuhgh us.(REV.21:23-24) AND THE CITY HAD NO NEED OF THE SUN,NEITHER OF THE MOON,TO SHINE IN IT;FOR THE GLORY OF GOD DID LIGHTEN IT,AND THE LAMB IS THE LIGHT THEREOF;(24) AND THE NATIONS OF THEM WHICH ARE SAVED,SHALL WALK IN THE LIGHT OF IT;AND THE KINGS OF THE EARTH DO BRING THIER GLORY AND HONOR INTO IT.
YOU' RE VERY INFORMED,AN SCRIPTURALLY ACCURATE, MAINTAIN YOUR WATCH, MAN OF GOD,AND SAY ON!
Brignac,

Is it ok if you could just lower your caps?
