What has happen to good old exegetical expository preaching ?

The late and great Dr. V. Mc Gee once said on one of his many teaching tapes that a preachers greatest potential fault would be that there is a lack of study. There seems to be a great dearth among our present a leadership. I need persons that get in the book and really precept upon precept and line upon line, here a little there a little. I personally don’t need to hear a definition of a word, just define the WORD I don’t need to run around the room preacher run them scriptures, I don’t need to slap (high five) my neighbor, preacher slap that pulpit and bring the WORD. Just saying.

Thank you for saying it! There is no power in the preach, or the teach nowadays..you bring forth a good discussion. The slam, bam, and glam is getting no body saved nor is it knowledge! More often people stay ignorant to the knowledge that the bible has. It's depth and weight alone will give unanswered questions to many of the worlds problems.The word carries great histories and knowledge. Ask the question to a normal church goer, who is Shem, Ham and Japheth? Or ask about the Lambs wife and the 12 gates? Uhh..you got to deep to get knowledge in the word and study. Okay'... I'm just saying..

  Do you and let the others do them.  Don't try and imitate J. Vernon McGee or anyone else.  There are enough copycat preachers and teachers.  I am not trying to be like Joyce Meyer.  When you minister in Spirit and Truth you can't help but wanting to high five somebody sitting around you.  I don't believe this is a sin.  Is it enthusiasm?  It is neither here nor there.  Did the Word touch your spirit?  Did the Word minister to your spirit?  Is the Word bringing about change? 

     You will never be who you are called to be as long as you are copycatting other people and trying to be like them.  Do you in Spirit and Truth.

My dear Pitbull brother I’m not suggesting you change your style. I would never imitate Dr. McGee he was a Trinitarian an I’m all Oneness (you??) but he did have a unique style and a in depth knowledge.  1^st Peter 4:11 clearly tell us to work (minister) with the ability that God gives. I know the difference between spirit filled enthusiasm and a preacher just going for the hype because he doesn’t have anything.  I personally know and have known some great Apostolic preachers and I don’t even copy-cat them I study to show myself approved unto God a workman that need not be ashamed right dividing the Word of Truth. Remember Luke 12:48 whom much is given much is required. So there is nothing wrong with me expecting the man of God too study and bring some correction, reproof, doctrine(teaching), instruction in righteousness and one Paul left off revelation. That why I don’t go just anywhere and I refuse to listen too just anybody. Ok ruff ruff  dog and God bless everyone else.

     I am in agreement with the preacher/teacher studying.  Without study you will only be copycatting, repeating and mimicking what you have heard coming from the mouth of someone else.  The false prophet/prophetess is having a field day because people don't study the Word.

     Now just because you study the Word, attend seminary or were healed does not mean that God has called you to a pulpit teaching/preaching ministry.  I cringe at all of these copycat bishops who have never pastored a church and are putting the cart before the horse.  So I do understand your "high five" analogy in this regard.

     Trinitarian and Oness creates religion.  I just preach the Word.  Keep it simple just like an egg (shell, white, yolk).  Keep it simple just like water (liquid, solid, vapor).  Body, soul & spirit?  Preach that there is only one God who is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresence and is intertwined within the Father, Son (in his divinity) and Holy Spirit.

     Trinitarian and Oness creates religion??? Really? I cringe at all the people that join the PAW group but aren't apostolic and don't agree with oneness of GOD.

      I just preach the Word. JESUS is the Word , God that is one can be divide EX 3:14 I am that I am. Which means he can be what every you need and not stop being who he is. He was in the world yet he also was framing the worlds by the Word of his Power.                                                                                                           

Now just because you study the Word, attend seminary or were healed does not mean that God has called you to a pulpit teaching/preaching ministry.  Each soul must make his on election and calling sure so be careful not to judge God can make one to abound or too abase.
