Is It A Sin For Christians To Have Romantic Parts In Movies?

For instance - Denzel Washington is a COGIC Christian.
Should the elders of his church instruct him not to take roles that he would have to kiss or rub on an actress (no removing clothes) just as a husband would passionately kiss his wife?

As a Christian - I think it is not for him to take those sorts of roles.

He can express passion without actually showing passion. I think its not only Christians in films, but the entire world going down the tubes with it. "Rated R" means "Rated Regular" now. Christians in films shouldn't have to do such to make money or art on camera.

But as far as church doctrine and rules are concerned ---

If you were one of the elders at his assembly - you would reason with the elders that Denzel makes money at it so - its not wrong?

I would say - Denzel - that fact that I am a woman and your bishop - you and I both have bigger fish to fry than who you kissing on. :-) Hah hah! - I had to - I could not resist.

But if that I were up to me - I would ask him:
"Now Denzell - would you kiss your neighbors wife - if you were not being paid?"...he would say "No"
