Check it out and tell me what you think, do I believe that demons can be cast out under the power of the Holy Spirit? Yes! But is this one of those instances? When Jesus or one of the Apostoles cast out evil spirits it wasnt a long drawn out prosess. They spoke and the demons had to obey! Is this one of those instances like Jesus said "some things only happen by fasting and praying?"

What you are seeing is a person "slained in the Spirit" (not a biblical phrase) if his sin condition is homosexuality, I suppose he went of his own will to the altar? and could not stand under the authority of Jesus as in

John 18:36

As soon then as he had said unto them, I am , they went backward, and fell to the ground

wether it's by fasting and prayer that he will be deliver, who knows, from u tube?

But again here is my question, where in the bible does the prophet/preacher/apostle have to wrestle and struggle to cast out the demon? When Jesus told them to come out they did

Mark 9:25
When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

When the apostles called them out in His name they immediatly came out

Acts 16:16-18
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: [17] The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. [18] And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

I am of the belief in deliverance services but deliverance is instant when dealing with the Name above every Name, demons tremble at his Name, so you dont have to keep calling out his name to get someone delivered.

IDEALLY, WE SHOULD AND WOULD LOVE TO MANIFEST SIGNS AND WONDERS WITH THE SAME EASE AND SIMPLICITY AS CHRIST, AND IT WOULD BE AWESOME TO SPEAK TO THE "STORM WINDS", AND OBSERVE THE AWE OF THE "RAGING SEA OBEY OUR VOICES, BUT REALISTICALY, THAT'S SIMPLY NOT THE CASE. WE HAVE LOST A LOT OF POWER BY THE WAY WE LIVE, OR DON'T LIVE, AND WE STRUGGLE IN A LOT OF AREAS WE SHOULDN'T HAVE. TO IN THE ACT OF DELIVERANCE, SPIRIT MANIFESTATIONS ARE UNPREDICTABLE, AND THE " TECHNIQUES" OF PEOPLE EXECUTING IT VARY, SO ITS DIFFICULT TO GIVE AN CCOUNT FOR WHAT SOMEONE ELSE DID OR WHY THEY DID IT. SOMETIMES "ASSERTION" IS NEEDED TO KEEP THE INIVIDUAL FROM HARMING THEMSELVES, AS WELL AS OTHERS. I'M SURE THAT WHEN THE BOY WHO THREW HIMSELF INTO THE FIRE WAS MI NISTERED TO, IT REQUIRED A BIT MOE EFFORT THAN USUAL. IT IS CLEAR, THOUGH, SINCE THIS HAS BECOME A PUBLIC SPECTACLE, THE PEOPLE SHOULD BE CLUED IN AND GIVE PERMISSION BEFORE ATTEMPTING SUCH ACTS, JUST AS ONE DOES IN AN ACTUAL "MEDICAL CLINIC" SITUATION, WHERE PEOPLE COME TO BE "SET FREE" FROM CONDITIONS THEY DON'T WANT TO BE BOUND BY.

Oh Amen!! Amen! I was about to say the same thing Propehtess.. The truth is WE SHOULD cast out demons like Jesus did and our spiritual fathers (the Early Apostles) but the truth is we dont and the reason its so hard for us to cast them out is because of many reasons like the Prophetess said earlier... we dont have a prayer life like we suppose to, we dont live holy like we suppose to, and whenever we let the flesh operate and kick in from time-to-time.... God cannot be pleased, but He does choose to use for His glory to a certain extent because the gifts and callings of God are without repentance.. so its for His name sake and His glory.. But, until we fast, pray steadfastly, live a holy and seperated life from the world like we suppose to, we not going to get there...

So then really by your own words until we tap into the power we should not be claiming to have the ability to do such things. Because really no way you try and explain this thing the power is not with us the power is the Lord working through us, and when He is using said power through us at that Name healings happen, deliverance happens, and salvation happens immedialtly it should not take over 9 minutes. If he leads you to lay hands to deliver someone, he wont have you going through all that to accomplish it, it was almost like the prophets of baal crying out for hours and nothing happened.

I think one has to also understand, that the battle rages within the individual as well, they want to do good, but evil is always present.

So it is a struggle, because ones have to make up their minds to sell out to God, to cut off that which is bad and has been attached to you for years is painful.

2C 10 :4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;


Stating that healing, deliverance..... should not take over a certain amount of time is putting God in a box. We are individuals, some bondages have live longer and grown stronger in some, and they have an affection toward it, that they have to let go.

There is nothing wrong with tarrying,

Nothing comes easy. When JESUS told the Apostles that "these only come out by fasting and praying", the Apostles were there for a good while already while JESUS James Peter and John were on the mountain. The LORD said "according to your faith be it unto you". Some demons come out instantly, some were said to come out "that same hour", and others where healed "as they went". People are expecting microwave miracles, and yet they do not even believe in the full power of the HOLY SPIRIT when they see it. Instead of asking "what took you so long?", how about "how is the young man doing?" No one takes notice at the fact that CNN made fun of this exorcism.

Image the joke they'll make of your own ministry when (and if) you nay-sayers ever move in the department of signs, wonders, and miracles!
