Is The Trinity Biblical?
From the Christian Research Institute
www.equip.org
The Trinity is a basic doctrine of orthodox Christianity. Yet the word "Trinity" is not found anywhere in the Bible. Is the doctrine of the Trinity really biblical?
The doctrine of the Trinity says that there is one All Mighty One (God) who exists eternally as three distinct persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I can assure you that the elements of this doctrine are all taken directly from the Bible.
The first plank of the Trinitarian platform is that there is only one All Mighty One (God). The Bible could not be more explicit on this point, which it states explicitly about two dozen times. In Isaiah 44:8 Yahweh (The LORD) says that even He does not know of any other (mighty ones)gods!
Yahshua (Jesus) often spoke of the All Mighty One (God) as His Father, and the apostles frequently spoke of "the Almighty One (God) the Father." But the New Testament also insists that Yahshua (Jesus) is The Almighty One (God). For example, Thomas acknowledged Yahshua (Jesus) as, "My Lord(master) and my Almighty One (God)" (John 20:28), and both Peter and Paul spoke of Yahshua (Jesus) as "our All Mighty One (God) and Savior" (2 Pet. 1:1; Tit. 2:13). Yet the New Testament also makes the distinction between the Father and the Son as two very different persons. In fact they tell us that they love one another, speak to each other, and seek to glorify each other (e.g., John 17: 1-26).
The Old Testament refers often to the Holy Spirit as The Almighty One (God) at work in the world, without distinction from the Father. But Yahshua (Jesus) in John 14 to 16 explained that this Holy Spirit would be sent by the Father at the Messiah’s (Christ's) request. The Holy Spirit would teach and guide the disciples, not speaking on His own initiative, but speaking on the Messiah’s 9Christ's) behalf and glorifying The messiah (Christ). Thus, the Holy Spirit is revealed by The Messiah (Christ) to be a third person distinct from the Father and distinct from the Son.
In short, the doctrine of the Trinity is completely and totally biblical, and it is essential that all the Followers of the Messiah Yahshua (Christians) give assent to this doctrine.

Funny, I coulda sworn that you said you were done before....

If we are one as JESUS and His FATHER are one, then according to your doctrine you and I are LITERALLY the same person! Is this true or false?
THE WATER BAPTISM / THE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM

Why did All the Apostles of Jesus Christ practise the same water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ?

Why didn’t they ever use the titles, FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT for the water baptism as stated in Mathew 28:19?

Did they by that disobey the Lord’s command?

First of all, I believe that the water baptism can not wipe out our sins.

The Bible says that water baptism is the “demand as before God of a good conscience, by [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ”. “which figure also now saves you, [even] baptism, not a putting away of [the] filth of flesh, but [the] demand as before God of a good conscience, by [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ".

1 Peter 3:21

A believer must first repent sincerely and believe in Jesus Christ. A true believer is justified by faith in Jesus Christ.

If someone hears the Gospel, accepts it, then truly repents and believes in Jesus Christ, this one must believe that God has justified him or has wiped out his sins by faith(Romans 5:1-2, Galatians 3: 24 ).

We have been justified by the blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:9).

Indeed, the Bible declares:

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”

Acts 3:19

Truly speaking, we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, John 3: 36, John 3:18-19) and that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

“He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit”.
Titus 3:5

The washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit is different from the water baptism.

In Titus 3:5, Brother Paul was not referring to water baptism, but he was referring to the Holy Spirit baptism.

Let us read an other passage which refers to the Holy Spirit baptism too:

“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified”.

John 7:38-39, John 3:5

Though, our Lord referred to the “streams of living water”, He was not dealing with water baptism here but He was speaking about the Holy Spirit baptism.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, the Holy Spirit baptism is very very important.

Brother Paul said “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit”.

The washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit is possible through the word of God.

“having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,”

1 Peter 1:23

Whoever truly believes in Jesus Christ, streams of living water will flow from within him.

The Holy Spirit baptism is more important than everything. It permits a believer to be really a member of the Body of Christ.

“For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body - whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free - and we were all given the one Spirit to drink”.

1 Corinthians 12:13

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, the Holy Spirit baptism is very very important.

If the Spirit of God doesn’t live in you, then you can be enlightened, be partaker of the Holy Ghost, taste the good word of God and still it’s possible for you to fall away and you will never rise again.

The simple unction is not sufficient, the Spirit of God must live in you (Matthew 7:21-23).

If the Spirit of God lives in you, still it’s possible for you to fall away, but you will always rise again(See the example of Peter: Galatians 2: 11-14).

If you truly believe in Jesus Christ and you are marked with a seal, namely the Holy Spirit, you are saved forever, you can never lose salvation (Ephesians 1: 13-14).

I do not refer to the simple unction someone may have. That unction can help him perform miracles, teach the Gospel and so on, but the Bible says that if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ (Romans 8: 9).

All that matters is that the Holy Spirit should live in you (1 Corinthians 6:19).

Indeed, Brother Paul said:

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but CHRIST LIVES IN ME. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”.

Galatians 2:20

Repentance is an act of faith and the grace by which forgiveness is given.

Then, having believed, you must be marked in Jesus Christ with a seal.

Indeed, the Bible declares:

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of his glory”.

Ephesians 1: 13-14

"...Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession..."

How do you understand the following speech of Brother Peter?

"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”.

Acts 2:38

First we must REPENT.

Being baptized into physical water is essential to the demand as before God of a good conscience, by [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ AFTER we are SAVED.

If you do not repent sincerely, if you do not believe in Jesus Christ truly, you can be baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ, but that baptism into physical water though it is essential can not save you.

The water baptism is for those who are already saved by faith, the true believers.

“And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him”.

Acts 8:36-38 (King James Version)

Question:

“What doth hinder me to be baptized?”

Answer:

“And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest”.

Brothers and sisters, faith which saves us is the condition for the water baptism.

For this intention, the gospel must been preached first, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

Indeed, the Bible says:

“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

Acts 2:37 (King James Version)

“They were pricked in their heart”.

If you listen to the Gospel and you are pricked in your heart, then repent:

This is the condition for you to get baptized in the water.

First we must REPENT. Being baptized into physical water is essential to the demand as before God of a good conscience, by [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ AFTER we are SAVED.

This is the reason why brother Peter said:

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost”.

Acts 2:38 (King James Version)

Indeed, the word “for” here is synonym of “because”. After true repentance, we get baptised in the water because of the remission of our sins.

By faith we have been justified, the blood of the Lamb has already wiped out our sins(Hebrews 9:22, Romans 5:9). This is the reason why we get baptized in the water in the name of Jesus Christ.

We do not get baptized in order that our sins may be wiped out, since the water baptism is not a putting away of [the] filth of flesh, but [the] demand as before God of a good conscience.

But we get baptized in the water because our sins have been already wiped out by faith in Jesus Christ, by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Water-baptism is a symbol or outward act of an inner reality.

As for the Holy Spirit baptism, it is a personal experiment of the believer which takes place either before water baptism or after water baptism.

Examples:

1-Holy Spirit baptism before water baptism (Acts 10:44-48)

Besides, the Bibles says that John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth (Luke 1:15).

2-Holy Spirit baptism after water baptism (Acts 19:1-6, Acts 8:14-16).

The Holy Spirit baptism is more important. It depends on God. It is a Gift from God.

He who believes does not necessarily receive it automatically. The time of reception depends on God (before or after water baptism).

This is the process: Justification – sanctification - and Holy Spirit baptism.

The Holy Spirit is a Seal, a Mark.

"...Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession..."

Before we are justified, we must truly believe in Jesus Christ and repent sincerely.

After true repentance, we must be baptized in the water by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let us notice that water baptism is also essential since it is the Lord’s command:

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mark 16:16 (King James Version)

The Bible clearly states that “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned”.

We notice that the stress has been put on the FAITH, the condition for the salvation:

“Whoever does not believe will be condemned”(see also John 3:36).

Though it is not written that “whoever does not get baptized will be condemned” we must recognize that water baptism is compulsory for the believer. It is essential for the believer.

A true believer can not refuse water baptism. If you refuse the water baptism, your show that there is something wrong with your faith.

If you have believed and didn’t have the opportunity to get baptized as the criminal on the cross (Luke 23:41-43) you will be saved. Your faith will save you. Our Lords knows your heart, He knows that that does not depends on you.

However, if you deliberately refuse to get baptized in the water, then people must question your faith.

This proves that you have not believed yet.

If you have not believed, then how can you be saved?

A true believer after true repentance must get baptized in the water.

If you refuse to do so, then, either you are not converted, or the following verse must be applied to your situation: “Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” Matthew 7:23.

This is the reason why our Lord says in Mark 16:16: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned”.

If you TRULY believe, you should also get baptized. The two things go together.

This is the reason why water baptism is essential for salvation.

BUT HOW WATER BAPTISM SHOULD BE PRACTISED?

Now let us read Matthew 28:19:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.

What is the NAME (singular) of the FATHER and the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT?

Brother, let me remind you of something.

Indeed, Jesus told His disciples:

"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come”.

John 16:12-13

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth…”

Brother the Holy Spirit has revealed to the Apostles the NAME (singular) of the FATHER and the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT.

Let us see:

“Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”.

Acts 2:38

The NAME (singular) of the FATHER and the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT is JESUS CHRIST.

Truly speaking, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other NAME under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12

That NAME (singular) under heaven given to men by which we must be saved is JESUS CHRIST.

Truly speaking, “All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his NAME."
Acts 10:43

That NAME (singular) given to men through which they receive forgiveness of sins is JESUS CHRIST.
Truly speaking, Jesus said to the Father: "I have revealed your NAME to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.
John 17:6

That NAME (singular) of the Father is JESUS CHRIST.

This is the reason why brother Paul said:

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him”.

Colossians 3:17

WHATEVER YOU DO, WETHER IN WORD OR DEED, DO IT IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS.

See, here, Lord Jesus is THE NAME, whereas Father is simply a Title.

Isn’t water baptism a deed?

If it is a deed, then the Bible says “WHATEVER YOU DO, WETHER IN WORD OR DEED, DO IT IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS”.

Why do you want to do everything in the Name of Jesus Christ but exclude water baptism?

Why do you make such a restriction?

It is simply because you have not yet received the revelation about the NAME (singular) of the FATHER and the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT (Matthew 28:19).

May the Holy Spirit enlighten you!

WHAT IS THE ONE BAPTISM THAT IS REQUIRED OF BY OUR LORD JESUS?

There is ONE GOD, ONE PERSON, and there is also ONE BAPTISM. Not two but ONE BAPTISM:

It is the water baptism practised by IMMERSION in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.

“One Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all”.

Ephesians 4:5-6

Indeed, some people assume that in Ephesians 4:5-6, Brother Paul was dealing with the Holy Sprit baptism.

However, it has not been specified that Brother Paul was speaking about the Holy Spirit baptism.

Anyway, it is written that there is One baptism, either Holy Spirit baptism, or Water baptism, there is
ONE BAPTISM in Christ.

Indeed, the Bible says that we are “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone”.

Ephesians 2:20

If you are really built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone, then you must practise the water baptism as the Apostles of Jesus Christ did.

"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”.

Acts 2:38

Bro. Germain
We fully believe in the Apostle's doctrine! The problem is that you don't know what the Apostle's doctrine actually is!!!!

1st Peter 1:3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,"

2nd Peter 1:16-17 "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For He received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

John 14:31 "But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence."

John 20:17 "Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God."

All of these verses say that JEHOVAH GOD is Christ's GOD and FATHER. IS JESUS HIS OWN FATHER!?!?
Brother Trevor,

How can you know the Father if the Son doesn’t reveal Him to you?

It is essentially a question of revelation from God (Philippians 3:15, Matthew 11:25).

Human efforts can never do that.

So, let us stop this discussion!

So, let us pray for one another!

Indeed, the Bible says:

“No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him”.

John 1:18

Brother Trevor, how can you know the Father if the Son doesn’t reveal Him to you?

Brother Germain can NEVER do that, the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father is alone able to reveal Who God is! Amen!

Your intellectual comphrehension of the Holy Scriptures can not help you seize that truth! Never!

Your knowledge acquired in your seminary, your biblical institute, your "broken cistern" can not help you seize that reality! Never!

This is the truth: God is ONE! Yes God is ONE PERSON! Amen!

Indeed, brother Paul said:

“I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom”

2 Timothy 4:1

God and the Lord Jesus are ONE PERSON. Amen!

Indeed, THE FATHER IS IN THE SON, THE SON IS IN THE FATHER

THE FATHER AND THE SON ARE ONE, namely ONE PERSON.

The Bible says".... at His appearing and His kingdom...."

"HIS" = ONE PERSON, ONE GOD, namely Jesus Christ. Amen!

O my Lord, please, reveal this tuth to them!

Please, open their eyes sothat they can see again!

Remember, brother Paul said:

"And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God".

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

Bro. Germain
Scripture says...?

Which scripture?

Are they "heretic" according to your false teachings, your TRINITY, the doctrine of the demons(1 Timothy 4:1) or according to the Holy Scriptures?

Please, let us meditate the biblical passage below:

"Five days later the high priest Ananias went down to Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, and they brought their charges against Paul before the governor. 2When Paul was called in, Tertullus presented his case before Felix: "We have enjoyed a long period of peace under you, and your foresight has brought about reforms in this nation. 3Everywhere and in every way, most excellent Felix, we acknowledge this with profound gratitude. 4But in order not to weary you further, I would request that you be kind enough to hear us briefly. "We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene sect 6and even tried to desecrate the temple; so we seized him".

Acts 24:1-6

Please, tell me, was Brother Paul really a member of a SECT?

No!

However, those people called him a ringleader of the Nazarene sect, according to their belief.

Brother, you are free to judge, but the Holy Scriptures alone should be your standard of judgement.

When Jesus Christ will open your eyes, you will realize that those people you call "heretic" today are the ones who lean on the truth according to the Holy Scriptures.

Blessings,

Bro. Germain
THIS IS ABOVE THE PROOF OF SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS

WE MUST PRAY FOR LEIGH BUSBY

Bro. Germain
Just answer this question:

-Can you be your own son?
-Are you your own father?
-JESUS make them one as we (FATHER & SON) are one. Does that mean we are all literally the same person as JESUS and HIS FATHER is the same person?
TRIVIAL QUESTIONS!

AN OTHER SIGN OF SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS!

May God open your eyes!

Bro. Germain
What you call trivial, are actually important! You have LITERALLY shunned key points to look at simply because they attack your doctrine from the ground up!

WOW!!
SENSELESS QUESTIONS!

AN OTHER SIGN OF SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS!

May God open your eyes!

Discussion is over!

Now, the time is for prayer!

We must pray for you!

Bro. Germain
*Shaken*

All of a sudden my questions are pointless and senseless. JESUS would have NEVER said that! But then, you'd have to know JESUS.....
Shaken?

Feel free to shake not only the dust from your feet, but also that from your eyes so that you can see the truth: GOD IS ONE PERSON.

May God open your eyes!

This is my prayer!

Blessings,

Bro. Germain
