Why do SAINTS get mad when you tell them the truth?

Why is it that when someone approach you for an answer and then you tell them the truth according to the Word and you SHOW them The Word, that they get upset and quit speaking to you? Any feedback.

They never really want the truth they just want you to agree with them or stroke their EGO.

they don't want to hear the truth if its the word of God, and if you and that person are a true friends they will come back.
