About The Man Of God
Bishop Pratt Lewis Tate, Jr. is one of six children born to Elder Pratt L. Tate, Sr. and renowned Teacher and Prophetess, Dr. Eliza B. Tate of Alachua, FL. Bishop Tate has been married for over 30 years to First Lady Prophetess Sherron Ann Tate.
Bishop Tate began to play musical instruments around the age of four. His father would bring instruments home and have each child play it to see which one had the knack to master the instrument. Being a man blessed with many talents, Bishop Tate played the guitar (lead and bass) and keyboards (piano, organ, and synthesizers). However, Bishop Tate's greatest talent is his organ playing. With God's anointing, glory, and power flowing through his gifted hands, many have been blessed. He is known as "The Maestro".
Called into the ministry at a very young age, Bishop Tate received salvation at the age of eight. God began to commission him to preach the gospel. While other boys his age were playing, daily Bishop Tate sought out his "secret prayer ground" where he would spend time alone and communicate with God. I was there God showed him dreams and visions of things present and that which was to come. He was ordained and ministered his first sermon at the age of 12, "The Lord is My Shepherd," Psalms 23. He was and still is indeed, a fireball for God. He was so invigorated and electrified by the Spirit and Power of God's Word that he would preach during lunch hour on the top of cafeteria tables at school. In between classes he would set up milk crates and proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and declare salvation, repentance, and deliverance to everyone under the sound of his voice. He preached through middle school, high school, and college. Persecuted like Jesus, he has been stoned, threatened with knives, and beaten. Nevertheless, through his perseverance and despite the adversity, many were set free, delivered, and saved. There are even testimonies of many now involved in the ministry of God because of the indelible impression that was made upon their lives, through the Word of God that Bishop Tate preached. To God be the Glory!
His trailblazing mother and one of his mentors, Dr. Eliza B. Tate, lit the fire in him to wail in the statutes of God as he followed and played for her throughout her ministry. At the age of 11, his other mentor Evangelist R.W. Schambach, called him out in a tent revival in Tampa, FL. Out of a crowd of thousands, through Evangelist Schambach, God reconfirmed the call of God on his life, to preach the Gospel. Evangelist Schambach said to Bishop Tate, "If you would tell God 'yes', God will heal you of a reflux condition." He obeyed God and He healed him.
Bishop Tate has now been ministering for over 37 years and God has done many signs, miracles, and wonders. Truly exemplifying the qualifications of a bishop and a heart that pants after God and a passion to help families obtain salvation. He is a meek empowered vessel with God's people at heart and gives "what's his name" (the devil) a serious nervous condition as he tears down his kingdom and his strongholds on the lives of people. He is the foot stomping, faith teaching, soul reaching, Word preaching man of God.
Bishop Tate has a Doctor of Divinity Degree, a Doctor of Sacred Music degree and a Master's Degree in Marriage Therapy from the Rainbow School of Ministry. He and his wife have traveled the U.S. conducting and administering marriage seminars and have written various books and pamphlets in relation to marriage. He currently has a television broadcast airing on WGFL-UPN11-Gainesville, FL.

2 Corinthians 12:7b-9
...There was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
v.8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
v.9 And He said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Dearly beloved of God, I… Continue
