One argument to support non-food tithing is that money was not universally available and barter from food was used for most transactions. This argument is neither biblical nor historical. Genesis alone contains “money” in 32 texts and the word occurs 44 times before the tithe is first mentioned in Leviticus 27. Gold is first mentioned in Genesis 2:12. The words "jewelry," "gold," "silver" and shekel also appear often from Genesis to Deuteronomy.
Many centuries before Israel entered…

Judges 16:22 "Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again
after he was shaven."
When a person breaks a Nazarite vow, he can start all over again
keeping it and be restored in his vow. That is what is symbolized by
the hair growing, again. He has gone back into covenant with God. The
hair symbolizes the presence of the Nazarite vow. His strength would
come back, because he is filled with the power of God again.
Judges 16:23 Then the lords of the…

If you are a Christian and you are suffering with an illness of some kind be encouraged. God has not forsaken you. I know it may feel like it but He hasn’t. I have received great comfort from Psalm 13, a Psalm of David. This Psalm has taught me that one of the major problems with suffering is dealing with anger and bitter feelings towards God Himself. We have been taught the new wave message of “positive confession”, but what God really desires from…

I Samuel 22:1 "David therefore
departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his
brethren and all his father's house heard [it], they went down thither
to him."
This cave was a natural hiding place for David. It was large
enough to safely house a few hundred people. There were many caves in
this area. This was not the largest, but it was large enough to give
them safe haven from their enemies. It appears that, his father and
his…

The apostle Peter, in warning against false prophets, illuminates their characteristics. The entirety of II Peter 2 is about false prophets and false teachers. What sort of message would these men preach? What would be one's impression of God—whom they allegedly spoke for—after watching and listening to such men?
» "But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who…

Because of the way "prophet" is commonly used, there is a misconception that its basic definition is "someone who foretells the future," but this definition is too narrow. Prophet is better defined as "one who speaks for another." A true prophet, then, is a person who speaks for God, delivering a message that God has ordained him to give. In The Book of Exodus God tells Moses that Aaron, his brother, would be his (Moses') prophet, even as Moses was…

It should come as no surprise that the early congregations of Christianity were financed the same way the early Israelite society was financed—through a free-will offering, which according to Moses, was more than ample to provide that which was needed.
"Men and women, as many as were willing hearted, brought bracelets, and earrings, rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold ...the children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the Lord ... They…

Let's begin by defining the term Apostle.
According to Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, the Greek word translated apostle means, "one sent forth."
There are several examples given to us in the New Testament of different kinds of apostles. For instance, Christ is called an apostle:
"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
"--Hebrews…

1 Cor 15:1-2 (Jer) Brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel... because the gospel will save you only if you keep believing exactly what I preached to you--believing anything else will not lead to anything.
1 Cor 15:3-4 (Phi) For I passed on to you,--as essential, the message I myself received--that Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures said he would; that he was buried and rose again on the third day, again as the scriptures foretold.

When you identify yourself as a "Prophet" or Prophetess" and you manipulate people to do YOUR will...you are practicing WITCHCRAFT! God is very aware of your activities and you need to repent! A true Prophet's job is the preach the TRUTH...that could be a word of encouragement OR a REBUKE...but it MUST be the TRUTH and LINE up with The Word of GOD. Anytime you "preach" a "word" to get people to do YOUR WILL and not God's YOU are practising witchcraft! When you tell people that "The Lord" told…
