What is a False Prophet?

Because of the way "prophet" is commonly used, there is a misconception that its basic definition is "someone who foretells the future," but this definition is too narrow. Prophet is better defined as "one who speaks for another." A true prophet, then, is a person who speaks for God, delivering a message that God has ordained him to give. In The Book of Exodus God tells Moses that Aaron, his brother, would be his (Moses') prophet, even as Moses was… Continue

How the early church was financed

It should come as no surprise that the early congregations of Christianity were financed the same way the early Israelite society was financed—through a free-will offering, which according to Moses, was more than ample to provide that which was needed.

"Men and women, as many as were willing hearted, brought bracelets, and earrings, rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold ...the children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the Lord ... They… Continue

Are There Still Apostles Today?

Let's begin by defining the term Apostle.

According to Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, the Greek word translated apostle means, "one sent forth."

There are several examples given to us in the New Testament of different kinds of apostles. For instance, Christ is called an apostle:

"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

"--Hebrews… Continue

Believing The Gospel...

1 Cor 15:1-2 (Jer) Brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel... because the gospel will save you only if you keep believing exactly what I preached to you--believing anything else will not lead to anything.

1 Cor 15:3-4 (Phi) For I passed on to you,--as essential, the message I myself received--that Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures said he would; that he was buried and rose again on the third day, again as the scriptures foretold.

• A.W. Tozer: "As long as we remain in… Continue

Are you FEEDING or FLEECING?

When you identify yourself as a "Prophet" or Prophetess" and you manipulate people to do YOUR will...you are practicing WITCHCRAFT! God is very aware of your activities and you need to repent! A true Prophet's job is the preach the TRUTH...that could be a word of encouragement OR a REBUKE...but it MUST be the TRUTH and LINE up with The Word of GOD. Anytime you "preach" a "word" to get people to do YOUR WILL and not God's YOU are practising witchcraft! When you tell people that "The Lord" told… Continue

Why ALL Ministers Need to Take a Course in Biblical Hermenutics

It is apparent from all the contradictory teachings of the many denominations and cults of Christendom, that they all cannot be right. For the most part, each claim to use the Bible as the source of their teachings. For example, most evangelical churches teach that salvation is by one's faith through God's grace apart from works. However, some churches emphatically teach that works such as baptism is necessary for salvation. Both may claim the Bible… Continue
