Deut. 14:26 - It Is Written, Drinking Wine and Strong Drink is NOT FORBIDDEN to the Believer

A misconception in Christianity today is the wine and strong drink are forbidden to the Believer. However if we "search the scriptures" like Berens we will find just the opposite! Once again "tradition" not what the Lord says, what "is written" is the basis of this teaching.

A few points, God forbade His priests to drink, ONLY when going to minister in the Holy Place.

He forbid wine to the Nazarite, however after the Nazarite Vow was completed, we find that God says, "then… Continue

1 King 12: 33 Jeroboam...ordained..in the 8th month...which he devised of his own heart, a feast for Israel

1 King 12: 33 So he (Jeroboam) offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.

Most Bible students are aware of this incident and realize the grevious error committed by the king, substituting a feast devised in his own heart, and encouraging the Children of… Continue

What Was Nailed To The Cross According to COL. 2:14? Not the Law, but the Law's Indictment our -"death warrant"

THE TRUTH ABOUT COL. 2:14

Millions are deceived! There are precious few people on the entire earth that really UNDERSTAND the Scripture in question. Before any study of a difficult verse in the writings of the apostle Paul, we must consider the warning given by Peter in II Pet. 3:16.

"And also in all his (Paul's) epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things HARD TO BE UNDERSTOOD, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest (twist), as they do… Continue

COLOSSIANS 2:16-17. Are God's Holy Days Abolished By These Verses? No They Are Not!

THE TRUTH ABOUT COLOSSIANS 2:16-17

There are those who feel that the Holy Days of God, commanded by Jesus Christ for His people, are all done away by one Scripture in Col. 2:16-17. It is time we asked ourselves a simple question. What do these two verses really say? "Let no man judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body (is) of Christ."

First of all it says…… Continue

Halloween: Does Your Church Still Promote it? If So You Are Mixing the Holy with the Profane

Halloween Origins and Customs

History traces Halloween back to the ancient religion of the Celtics in Ireland. The Celtic people were very conscious of the spiritual world and had their own ideas of how they could gain access to it - such as by helping their over 300 gods to defeat their enemies in battle, or by imitating the gods in showing cleverness and cunning.

Their two main feasts were Beltane at the beginning of summer (May 1), and Samhain (pronounced… Continue

What was the "Cock Crow" at Jesus' Denial By Peter?

What is the cock crow that Jesus mentioned to Peter the night of their Passover feast? Most believe that Jesus was referring to a rooster, but was Jesus referring to Roman divisions of night watches? Let us investigate.

Mark 14:30

30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.(KJV)

The cock crow and what it is.

The cock crow has been thought… Continue

The Message in the Neatly Folded Napkin in Jesus' Tomb- Fiction!

The Message in the Neatly Folded Napkin in Jesus' Tomb-Fiction!

Summary of the eRumor:

According to this forwarded email, the head covering over the body of Jesus Christ in the grave was a neatly "folded napkin." It goes on to say that among Jews of the time a master would let his servants know whether he was finished eating or coming back to the table by the way he left his napkin. If he tossed it aside, he was finished. If he folded it, he was not finished and… Continue

Steeples On Church Buildings

The next time you are driving through your town notice the landscape and the horizon, you will see churches from the Roman Catholic to he Baptist and Methodist all topped with a steeple as though there is some Biblical mandate for it. However, you can search the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and never see any indication that a house for worship of the true an living God, contained such a structure.

In Thess. 5, hwe are admonished to "Prove… Continue

Is "Covering" covered in the Bible?

"So who is your covering?"

This is the terse query raised by many modern Christians whenever they encounter those who meet outside the institutional church. But what is at the heart of this inquiry? And what Biblical basis undergirds it?

It is my contention that a great deal of confusion and subnormal Christian behavior is connected with a modern teaching known as "protective covering." This teaching holds that Christians are protected from doctrinal error and moral… Continue

"Baptism with Fire!" You who want this, do you really understand what this means?

What is a Baptism of Fire?

It's a baptism of God's Wrath!!!

When one searches the scriptures on how God uses fire, one can unlock the true meaning of this long misunderstood text!

The common belief that we should desire that baptism with FIRE springs from texts showing God will purify and cleanse those who are His, by purging away the dross. And the Scriptures speaking of this purifying process usually speak of it as "purge away," or "take away the… Continue

S-a-n-t-a or S-a-t-a-n? A thought provoking similarity...

Santa or Satan

Children of the last century till today have been told from an early age that there is someone who "knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake." One day that child's "god" (for indeed only the Lord God knows these things) is discovered to be non-existent. When a child is 6, 7 or 8 he finds out he has been lied to by his parents and society. Their faith crumbles and a sacred trust is… Continue

"Where are Enoch and Elijah?" In Heaven with God? No, not according to the scriptures...

Jesus Himself said. "NO MAN has ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man!" in John 3:13.

Who is correct, Jesus or tradition?

To teach that Enoch and Elijah went to heaven BEFORE Jesus did, is a denial that He is the Firstfruits from the Earth.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"WHERE are ENOCH and ELIJAH?"
Enoch was translated that he should not see death. Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. Yet… Continue
Circumcision & Cervical Cancer Risk
Circumcision is the sign of the "Abrahamic Covenant" into which believers are to be grafted in today. With the health benefits of circumcision only recently discovered in our generation, (i.e.. also reducing the spread of HIV), all Christians should agree that our Creator established the "Law of Circumcision" for our good, and among Abraham's seed whether natural or "grafted in" should be practiced today.
Jesus was circumcised, so were all the priests, apostles and… Continue
Was The Serpent Of Gen. 3 a Snake??? Emphatically NO!
The Serpent of Genesis 3. Was it a SNAKE
Emphatically No, the serpent of Gen. 3 was not a snake. This is just another legend/tradition promoted by the Roman Catholic Church and her daughter churches. Here is the proof:
The Companion Bible, Appendix 19:
http://www.therain.org/appendixes/app19.html
In Genesis 3 we have neither allegory, myth, legend, nor fable, but literal historical facts set forth, and emphasised by the use of certain Figures of… Continue
What Happens When Fathers Are Not Around?
In Western societies more children than ever are growing up without a father. In fact, recent U.S. census figures indicate approximately one out of every four children grow up without a father and half will be raised in a one-parent family at some point. But does this mean mothers who rear their children without a father are doomed to failure?
Not at all, answers Dr. Kyle Pruett. It "does not doom fatherless or… Continue
A devastating epidemic is leaving a trail of broken hearts and broken dreams in its wake. What is this tragic outbreak? It’s the epidemic of disappearing fathers, who are sorely needed.
