"EMBRACE YOUR GIANTS"!

Percerception, or lack of, can determine whether a circumstance beccomes a blessing or a curse in an individual's life, especially, a believer's. We should all be acquainted with the story of Joshua and Caleb, and the other ten spies, who were assigned to go over to Jericho, to get a visual on the activities, weaponry, equipment, manpower, finesse,skills, and capabilities. of their opponents. In other words, they were dispatched to go out and "measure" their enemies, but they forgot to measure their God, Jehovah Saboath, The Lord of Hosts, and Jehovah-Nissi, their Banner. Because of their "lack of revelation", carnality, and spiritual blindness, in comparison, to the enemy"s "appearance", their perception of themselves shifted, diminished, and nearly cost them failure. As a result of their looking at their situation through the eyes of flesh, their reputation and testimony diminished amongst those that knew them, because they left home as a well--trained militia, able to run through a troop, and leap over walls, but returned from their assignment, afraid, defeated in their minds, with altered vision, knocking knees, about to break rank, ready to become "defecters" and go AWOL, and shivering like little girls with no undergarnents! They let the images that played upon the retinas of their minds shift the image and revelation of God in their hearts and souls. They assumed the very posture of the "grasshoppers". The enemy coaxed and deluded them into believing and assuming the posture of what their flesh saw, with their "eyes", realigned to an awkward place on the sides of their heads, blinding their peripheral vision, crouched down low to the ground, hoping to not be seen, trying to blend in with their environment, trying to locate their position with their natural capabilities, or "antennas", and hopping all over the place all "willy nilly", because they had become unanchored and unfocused in their aim, faith, and strategy! Their greatest error was magnifying their "Anaks" or giants above the God of Israel. If they had taken a mere 60 seconds to get a proper visual from a "skyview", they would've recognized that the most formidable "giants" were no more than "sand fleas , or mites in the eyes and scope of the God who sits on the circle of the earth, and cups the very seas and unending oceans in the curve of His hands. They would've recognized that these big boys, were no more than handicapped "mutations" with pituitary/growth hormone, or "thyroid" disorders, awkward on their feet, slow in their gait, and easy to tumble. They would've registered in their minds, that their lesser height and lesser weight, was to their advantage, because they were lighter, swifter, and more agile, so they had access to their giant's vital organs, and center of balance, very easily, and they could tackle them at "knee" or waist level and bring them down in an effortless "TKO", or severe concussion, if not a skull fracture, IF THEY ALL SAW THE SAME THING! When God put His people in the ring, in what appeared to be an unfairly matched or unbalanced fight, it wasn't for them to be annihilated or shamefully defeated, but rather that they have such an overwhelming testimony , that even their own enemies would reverence, believe and bow down to their God, Who reigns Supreme! If they had called a solemn assembly before going out to battle they would've found themselves in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and recognized that the Lord had not played any cruel jokes on them ,by delivering them from Pharoah and the brutal Egyptians, only to set them up for intense harm and defeat at the hands of these abominable "Big Foots", Yetis and assorted "giants"! They would've gotten their minds right and been chastened and encoraged by the fact, that "at the Name of Jesus, EVERY knee SHALL BOW, BIG knees, BIGGER knees, and GIANT knees! They would've taken the time to receive the wisdom that THERE WERE NO GIANTS IN EGYPT, SO THESE BIG BOYS MUST MEAN I'VE LANDED RIGHT SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF WHAT GOD PROMISED, AND THEY WOULD'VE GIVEN THEIR GIANTS A "SUPERSIZED" HAM SANDWICH AND A CHERRY COKE, AS THEY FELL TO THE GROUND, FATALLY WOUNDED, BY THE HANDS of MERE "GRASSHOPPERS", AND the Lord, Who is Mighty in battle! Someone is overwhelmed by what they're facing, whether it be a marriage that appears to be hopelessly over, a child enthralled in gang activities, drugs, sex, or hustling, a bad report of "stage III" cancer, the brutal violent death of a loved one, the loss of a precious child, a foreclosure, job lay-off, a parent with Alzheimers, personal mental anguish, a Church or ministry with an impossible financial deficit with a 60% decrease in tithes and offerings, a scandal you're facing that could mean your utter destruction and the lives of those aroud you, a pending incarceration, homosexual desires that you seem to be in a losing battle with, or whatever stands 50 feet tall in your eyes, mind, and soul, but know that these "GIANTS", are most likely, no more than "LANDMARKS" to assure you that you have, indeed, "left the building" of "Egypt" and crossed over into the land of " and Canaan" the PROMISED LAND,and that He said "these Egyptians" you see today, you will never see again, but He never said that there wouldn't be "Giants"! He did promise to give us power over our every enemy, and EVERYTHING that pertains to life (and "giants") and Godliness! He's given you POWER over the great and the small, the big and the tall, because His Name, and His BLOOD IS THE "EQUALIZER", that cuts everything and everybody down to size (their knees), and causes them to declare that He is Lord! Have no fear of your "Giants" but rather, grab yourself a glass of ",tropical punch, with a kiwi lime twist "kool-aid" (SUPERSIZE IT!), or a can of "V-8",, or a "GIANT" scoop of Baskin Robbins, a nice bowl of "kettle corn" ,click over to your favorite show, and celebrate your "Giants", because they've guided you to the right place, the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God!
