THE "TASTERS"

Believe it are not, there are people who've made a lucrative career from the use of their tongues, taste buds, and palates. For some, they "clock in" at wineries, while others put in work "tasting" doughnuts, sweet things, sour things, cold stuff, hot stuff, liquids, solids, gels,pate's, caviar (raw fish eggs), creams, spreads, hog's head cheese,pastries,veggies, candies. artificial "goodies" as well as holistically or organically grown supplements and imitations. One would believe that getting dressed everyday ,and showing up at the local chocolate factory, supermarket, or produce plant, having to use nothing but one's mouth, teeth, and tongue would be like melting a succulent Godiva in a baby's mouth, but the job is a little more involved than one would ever think or imagine. Being a "taster" means that you have to subject your mouth, stomach and appetite to things you may not "fancy" or care for, or certainly be in the mood for, when you're required to "taste" it. It may mean 'swirling" and "sniffing" several bottles of wine a day, some of which are in their experimental stages,and aren't yet "perfected", so their taste is actually quite putrid, or it may be a "cheese" day, when your stomach is already rebelling from the pasta and seafood from last night's supper.IMAGINE HAVING TO TASTE SEVERAL DIFFERENT TYPES OF "GOAT CHEESE", "BRIE", AND THE OTHERS THAT ARE EXTREMELY "AGED" (AND THEY SMELL LIKE IT TOO), AND YOUR SINUSES ARE FLARING UP, AND YOUR TASTE IS ALREADY "JACKED UP"? Maybe, it will be a "java" or coffee tasting assignment and you are already "amped" and hyped enough, but you've signed your tongue and "gut" up to drink a few dozen cups of "mountain grown", "fresh ground', "decaf, caffeinated, lattes, frappuccinos, iced, caramelized, and instant coffees. Then there are the restaurant "tasters" who are hired to go from diner to diner sampling the 'house specials", and the "chef's delights", whether they are hungry or not, because the taster's digestive system no longer belongs to them, while they are "on the clock". Here we have a little revelation on what many consider to be the most ridiculously favorable and desirable "gig" on earth, but that's only to those who think with their bellies, and "see" no deeper than what their natural eyes reveal! The REAL "TASTERS" are those found in God's kingdom, who have perfected "tasting" to an actual divine "science"! These "tasters" are not satisfied with, and nor will they tolerate ordinary "fare/food", especially after they've had the privilege of , and been blessed with the honor of "TASTING" GOD,and His "GOODNESS"!! ONCE THEY'VE SAMPLED WHAT THE CROSS HAS TO OFFER, NO OTHER DIET WILL SATISFY THEIR THIRSTY AD STARVING SOUL! ONCE THE "BLOOD" HAS SATURATED THE "PALATE", AND YOU HAVE SAVORED THE DELICATE, LIFE GIVING FLAVOR OF THE "BREAD" OF OUR TESTIMONY, NOTHING ELSE WILL OR CAN SUSTAIN YOU AFTER SAMPLING AND TASTING THIS KINGDOM MEAL, AND IF YOU DON'T GET A CONSISTENT DIET OF THE "BREAD OF HEAVEN", AND THE "LAMB OF GOD", YOU FIND YOUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH BEGINNING TO FAIL, AND YOU BEGIN TO EXHIBIT ALL THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS ASSOCIATED WITH "MALNUTRITION", AND "FAILURE TO THRIVE"! ONCE YOU'VE DINED FROM THE "KING'S TABLE", YOU DON'T WANT TO PLANT YOUR FEET UNDER ANYBODY ELSE'S TABLE, NO MATTER HOW EXCELLENT, EXTRAORDINARY, HIGHLY RATED, OR "TO DIE FOR" THEIR CUISINE MAY BE! The "tasters" within God's kingdom have learned to value and savor, intimately, every drop they're blessed to drink from the "cup of blessings, and every "bite" of the "bread of heaven"! The "tasters" ave developed such a hunger and "biased" appetite for this "goodness" without price", that they desire it more than their necessary natural food, and they will go to great lengths to procure and partake of it. The "tasters" have developed a predisposition for this "bread", and this "wine", after surviving on the "bread of affliction", and drinking from the "bitter cup" for so long. They welcome this "manna" after having been given nothing but the "meat of their tears, and now, that their taste buds and palate have been introduced to this "goodness", and this great "God", who fed the multitudes from no more than, Himself, they desire nothing on their plate, but MORE! They've discovered that the "taste" of his "goodness" is actually enhanced when they turn their plates over,and refuse all other "foods", no matter how tempting and delightful, because they've discovered that "fasting" heightens a "tasters" palate and taste buds, and intensifies the "flavor and richness" of the next serving of His "goodness"! All have an open invitation to join the ranks of the "tasters:, but, sadly, not all will, for many live by the gluttony of their carnal appetites and the satisfying of them, and many will die by the same. There was a saying that was popular with the elders of old, when sitting around the dining room table, when someone refused a helping of any dish, they would reply; "THANK YOU, THAT MEANS MORE FOR ME'! Oh, TASTE and see that the Lord is GOOD!
