THE "YES" IN "NO"

Most of us have been in situations, that we desperately wanted or needed to God move in our favor in,and although we prayed in earnest, flipped our plates over, made our requests known to God, "named it and claimed it", SOWED SACRIFICIAL SEED, AND believed way down in our Holy Ghost, and GOD STILL SAID "NO"!, and in some cases He said "ABSOLUTELY NOT!!", or !"UNH UNH!." So we go on wounded, discouraged pouting, mad, feeling wrongfully denied,confused, and agitated,because, to our knowledge, we were not "asking or praying AMISS", or for anything unreasonable! To our way of understanding, there was no good "rhyme nor reason" for the Lord to deny us, especiallly when it's something intensely painful like, sparing the life of that Mother stricken with ovarian cancer, or that fifth grandbaby, who is the last of a series of "miscarriages, or better yet, the healing and mending of that marriage, that you seriously can't understand, because does not God honor marriage? Some of the things we are denied, and the disappoinments of things we think we deserve or should have, really shake our foundation in God, if we don't have an intimate knowledge of ALL of His character and ways,and a blind trust in the fact that He really does know what's best for you. How does God say "NO" to rescuing your home from foreclosure, when He knows how diligently you labored and prayed to get it, and you have nowhere else to go? How could He not protect your son/daughter caught in the crossfire of a shootout, and who had done no wrong, but yet He didn't answer your cries to spare them? Why would God say NO to the failing ministry, that you've sown every personal dime into, only to be left with 13 members, and none of them give more thana 100.00 in a whole year? Why would God not turn a category 5 storm away from your region, knowing that you and a lot of other faithful believers live and have your roots there ? How fair is it for Him to keep letting you hear "Don't call us, we'll call you!", knowing that, as a man, you are in despair, because you want to support your family the way that you know you should, and so desire? How could He keep telling your "womb" "NOOO!" when He knows how desperately you want to conceive and bring to birth, your own bundle of joy! Why is it that there are consistent seasons of God appearing to not know any other answer, especially for you, but NOOO!, NO!, NO!, and NOOOOO!!! When you asked Him to prosper your way, allow your creative gifts, songs,and inventions to take off and lead you to prosperity, your dream "died on the vine", while the heathens all around you acquired more and greater wealth? Well, there's a serious misconception here, because God is not a "Man" that He should LIE , and because the Lord has promised that He "will not with hold any GOOD thing from you, and that He desires above all, that you PROSPER and BE IN HEALTH, even as your SOUL PROSPERS, then perhaps what He is answering "NO" to isn't as "GOOD" as it seems! ! The Bible says that the BLESSINGS OF THE LORD, MAKETH RICH",, AND ADDETH NO SORROW, AND EVERY "GOOD, ACCEPTABLE, AND PERFECT GIFT, COMETH FROM ABOVE"! In the midst of our apparent "denial", we are usually too emotional and either "salty", or in "dismay" when we receive "NO" and we take it personally, to really be still and reflect on God's nature, and our past testimonies of His soveriegn wisdom, and rightousness. Man has never been able to handle a "NO", even from the Garden of Eden, when the Lord denied Adam and Eve the fruit of one tree, even though He said "YES" to the great multitudes of others! It is here, where the enemy slides or slithers upon you to aggravate the situation and your emotions, even the more, by making you believe that God doesn't love you, He's "punishing you", or He doesn't care about your happiness. That's EXACTLY what the devil is SUPPPOSED to do, and he excels in it, but what about you? What are YOU supposed to do? If we walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh, we can save ourselves a few nervous breakdowns, snapouts, and tantrums, none of which reverse what the Lord has already decided on anyway! When your loved one dies from a terminal illnes,God's not saying NO to you in allowing them to die, but rather, He's saying "YES" to their being absent from their body of suffering and unbearable pain, and being present with Him! When He doesn't intervene and your home goes into foreclosure, He's not saying "NO" to see you homeless, but "YES" to a better home, and "YES" to better interest rates and mortgage payments! He's also saying YES to elevating your faith,sharpening your testimony, delivering you from from "things", and making you totally dependent upon Him, and Him alone! When God seems to be being contradictory,when the divorce goes through, after you've sorely travailed and begged Himto"save' the marriage, He's not saying "NO" to covenant, He's saying "YES" to your getting out of the way so that He can deal with the man/woman,"yes" to your life being spared from that future "bullet to the head", in a fit of rage, that He has the omniscience to see down the road, and YES to the restoration of your sanity, peace, focus, and deidcated service to Him!! When your "womb" is steadfastly "denied", He's not denying you Motherhood,but He's saying YES to the possibility of some little boy or girl, who;s been asking for a good Mommy and Daddy, and whose heard "NO" far too many times , finding all the love, compassion and nurturing you long to give to a baby, being heaped upon them. When all you can hear is"request denied" as they roll the gurney holding your teenaged son's body to the morgue, He's saying "YES" to his entering into His kingdom, while he's still saved,and He foresees the great tragedies ahead! When the ministry dwindles down to a size so small everyone can fit in one pew, He's not saying NO to your petitions to send the harvest and to provide substace, but rather He's saying "YES", to that season of intimacy where He's laying a firm foundation,and He's saying "YES" to that special miracle of favor that you would've never been available for, had He granted you what you wanted, when YOU wanted it. When He denies the restoration or mending fo a failed relationship,and you didn'think you were asking for much, because after all, He said that you shouldn't be alone, He's really saying "better", different,another, some other, annd MY CHOICE BLESSINGS, I desire to give unto thee! He saw the inevitable destruction, ust around the corner a year or two, and snatched you from calamity's way, much as a Mother aggressively snatches her child out of the path of a speeeding car., because she knows there's certain death and destruction if the car makes impact with the child! Even though we are blessed with a matching "pair" of most of what we have, we usually only "listen" with "one" ear! How many times, in retrospect, have you had to really break down and say "Lord, I appreciate You, and I THANK YOU GOD, FOR TELLING ME "NO", NOT LETTING ME "DO IT", "BUY IT", "HAVE IT", OR "BECOOME INVOLVED IN IT"! HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU EARNESTLY SAY .THAT AFTER THE "DUST SETTLED", AND THE WORKS AND INTENTS OF TH ENEMY WERE UNCOVERED, were you meekly grateful that the Lord didn't let you have your way?! We've disciplined ourselves to hear the "NO", but if we will get in the Spirit, we will also, hear the whisper of His "still small voice" saying "YES", at the same time the situation is saying "NO"!
