THE WORKS OF A FOOL

I go to church on Sunday and
When I walk out that door
I leave Jesus on the altar
And I ain’t saved no more
Monday was a work day but
I called in sick, although I’m not
Tuesday finds me tipping around
With someone I though was hot
Wednesday is called hump day
And I am half way there
I didn’t take that missing money
Wasn’t me I swear
Thursday I am counting one
More day just one more
Friday is party time and I am
Out that door
Saturday I’d better study
And get ready for Sunday school
Sunday I’m all saved again
And following the golden rule
This indeed is the works of a fool
