Matthew 3:2 (AMP)

Tithing in the Kingdom of God is crucial to receiving the blessings of God in these last days, even in your Now season, or your seasons to come! The world's system is failing and the Children of God must learn how to trust God to meet their EVER needs, and Tithing is one of the most important gateway to His provision and protection. As you establish yourself in the Kingdom of God and His way of doing things, you will discover how to trust in a higher system that never fails.
A. To be successful in the Kingdom of God you will have to think differently.
1. Most people have been trained in the world's system from the time they were born. They have learned to trust in what they can see, the education they have and the knowledge of other people in their lives.
2. But when a person becomes born-again, he or she has the opportunity to learn a higher system—the Kingdom of God.
3. The Kingdom of God is simply God's way of doing things.
4. The Kingdom of God is based on faith in the All-knowing power of God.
5. John the Baptist preached about the nearness of God's Kingdom and the need for Real Repentance (Matthew 3:2, AMP).
a. According to The Amplified Bible, repentance means to Think Differently or to change your mind (v. 2).
b. To be successful in the Kingdom of God, you must trust God's way of doing things and abandon all trust in the World's System!
B. The importance of tithing in the Kingdom of God.
1. The tithe is the key to unlocking God's blessings.
2. The Bible says that whatever was written in the Old Testament was established for our learning (Romans 15:4). Even though tithing is not mentioned in the five gospels of the Bible, it is discussed in the Old Testament.
3. God gave Adam and Eve permission to eat from all of the trees in the Garden of Eden except the tree of the "knowledge of good and evil" (Genesis 2:16-17).
4. God wanted Adam and Eve to love Him enough to obey His instructions, but they let satan deceived them into thinking that God was keeping His blessings from them. As a result, they disobeyed God and sin entered the world.
C. Tithing and the blessing of God.
1. God promised Abraham great blessings (Genesis 12:1-2).
a. The blessing is God's supernatural ability applied to your natural abilities.
b. The blessing of God is the foundation to obtaining total-life prosperity.
i. Financial prosperity, healing and complete deliverance out of any circumstance, are the result of the blessing flowing in your life for others!
ii. A leaf blows as a result of the wind. Likewise, the promises of God are the results of His blessing in your life, from your obedience of His Word for your life!
iii. The blessing of God is the fishing line that brings what you need into your life, making Opportunities for you to be blessed so you can be a blessing!
2. Believers are entitled to the blessings of Abraham (Galatians 3:29).
3. You gain access to the blessing of God through your tithe.
a. Abraham gave the tithe to the high priest Melchizedek and received God's blessing (Genesis 14:18-23).
i. God did not command Abraham to tithe, but Abraham wanted to honor God through giving.
ii. Abraham released the tithe and Melchizedek released the blessing of God.
iii. The blessing gives you the empowerment to get more than you've given.
D. The two systems of tithing.
1. Tithing and the Abrahamic covenant.
a. God established a covenant with Abraham after the tithe was given (Genesis 17:7).
b. Jacob established this covenant in his life when he vowed to give tithes to God (Genesis 28:22).
2. Tithing and the Levitical law.
a. God commanded the children of Israel to tithe in the Old Testament (Leviticus 27:30-32; Deuteronomy 14:22-23).
b. Jesus was made a high priest after the order of Melchizedek under the through the Abrahamic covenant. (Hebrews 6:20).
c. you honor God with your Tithe and Offerings, showing The Father that you understand through Jesus, Jesus is why your blessed when, just like Abraham your father (Hebrews 7:16).
d. God wants you to tithe out of your love for Him, He even tells you to try Him and see!
e. It is through the law of love that the blessing of God will work in the life of a Believer (Matthew 22:37-38).

Tithing The Key to Kingdom Empowerment Part 2

Intro
God has set before every human being the right to choose. You can choose life or death, blessing or cursing, God's way of doing things or the world's way. Tithing does not make sense to the world, but it is God's way of connecting His people to the blessing.
A. You have the right to choose (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20, AMP).
1. Life is a series of decisions.
a. Each day you can choose the blessing of God or the curse.
b. You can go the way of the world or follow the Kingdom of God.
c. Choose the Kingdom of God and receive His best.
d. Choose God's way by loving Him and obeying His Word.
B. Kingdom empowerment is gained through tithing.
1. Ten percent of all your increase belongs to God (Leviticus 27:30).
2. Tithing is the way to maintain the flow of God's blessings and remain established in peace.
a. Peace or shalom is having security in the midst of turmoil.
b. Shalom is Hebrew for peace, prosperity and continuous well-being.
3. God promised to bless Abraham because of his obedience (Genesis 12:1-4).
a. The blessing is an empowerment from God that enables you to have success in every arena of life.
i. The blessing is not the car, house, money, etc.; these things are the result of the blessing.
ii. The blessing gives you supernatural ability to overcome negative circumstances.
b. Obedience gives birth to the blessing.
i. Partial obedience and delayed obedience are still disobedience.
ii. Abraham obeyed God and became very wealthy (Genesis 12:4, 13:1, 2).
c. The blessing of God gives birth to success.
C. The blessing became permanently established in Abram's life when he presented tithes to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:19, 20).
1. Abraham gave Melchizedek all the tithes from what he had won in battle (Genesis 14:20).
2. Jacob, Abraham's grandson made a vow to God to tithe, and God established him in His blessing (Genesis 28:18-22, AMP).
a. God remembered the vow Jacob made and reminded him of it (Genesis 31:13).
D. God blessed mankind by speaking words of blessing (Genesis 1:22, 28).
1. Adam and Eve disconnected from God's blessing when they sinned in the Garden of Eden.
2. Sin blocked the blessing until Noah's time.
3. God pronounced the blessing again upon Noah and his sons (Genesis 9:1).
a. However, sin entered again when Noah became drunk, was naked, and his son Ham did not cover him.
4. God blessed Noah's sons, Shem and Japheth, who covered their father (Genesis 9:26, AMP).
5. Melchizedek very well could have been Shem because he passed the blessing to Abraham (Genesis 14:18, 19).
a. The priest had to have the blessing in order to pass it to someone else.
b. The blessing was passed down through the generations, from Abraham to Jesus.
E. Jesus made it possible for all of us to partake in the blessing (Galatians 3:13, 14).
1. Jesus is our High Priest forever, therefore when you tithe, you tithe to Him.
2. Like Abraham brought his tithe to Melchizedek, we pay our tithes to Jesus and receive the blessing (Hebrews 6:20- 7:16, AMP).
3. When you pay your tithes, present them to Jesus and experience the blessing exchange.

What Happens When You Tithe Part 3

Intro
When you bring your tithes to church, we should expect a blessing or an empowerment from God! He has promised to bless us abundantly when we obey Him! However, we should not expect money to fall from the sky! Lol, Instead, our tithe causes God to release an anointing or a supernatural ability upon your lives in such abundance, it is referred to as rain. When you do it from love, not because you want something from God!
A. God promised Abraham that He would bless him (Genesis 12:1-3).
1. Abraham had to make the choice to obey God; likewise, we have the right to choose (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20).
a. When we choose to obey Him, we choose His blessings; when we choose to disobey, we choose curses.
2. Abraham became entrenched in the blessing after he brought his tithe to his high priest.
a. Abraham gave the tenth of all of his income, not a part like some like to do now all!
b. God told Melchizedek to pronounced the blessing on Abraham life in the earth (Genesis 14:19, 20).
3. This also happens today when we bring our tithe to our high priest, or to a church of chose.
a. Jesus has the rank of Melchizedek; we bring our tithe to Him as our high priest (Hebrews 6:20).
b. Jesus releases the blessing on us, when we obey His word!
c. There was once a commandment to tithe, but today, we bring our tithes because we love God (Hebrews 7:1-15).
4. When you bring your tithe to your church, you are bringing the tithe to Jesus; therefore, you receive the blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13, 14).
B. What can you expect when you tithe?
1. The windows of Heaven will open (Malachi 3:10).
a. When the phrase, windows of Heaven is mentioned first, it referred to rain (Genesis 7:11, 12; Genesis 9:11).
b. In the Hebrew, the phrase windows of Heaven are translated as floodgates.
c. When you tithe, the blessing comes in a flood proportion.
i. Rain is a type of anointing.
ii. A former and latter rain has been prophesied (Zechariah 10:1).
iii. The time before Pentecost represents the former rain; the time afterward is the latter rain.
iv. God gave the former rain according to righteousness (Joel 2:23-26).
d. We are in the time of the latter rain!
2. When the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jesus, the Spirit of wisdom and power came on Him (Isaiah 11:1, 2).
3. When the wisdom of God comes on you, you will always know what to do.
a. Prosperity is tied to the wisdom of God!
b. The tithe will cause you to have divine direction and the ability to pursue that direction!
c. When we tithe, God rebukes the devourer for our sake (Malachi 3:11, 12); we become a delightsome land in Christ!
He put this so you will now why to be obedient in this area so He can then release the things you need to fulfill the purpose He put in your heart! My Father blesses you according to your realness with Him and His Word on this Earth! God love you and He just whetting on

The Tithing Question Part 4

Intro
Why do we do what we do? As Christians, we live according to the Kingdom of God. In His Kingdom, tithing is a way of life. Tithing is how we honor God and activate His blessing on our lives. Life is a series of choices. We choose to operate in the blessings of God or the curses of the world. Tithing is your blessing connection.
A. As a Christian, am I to tithe?
1. Our hope and expectation comes as a result of studying and learning the Word written in the former days (Romans 15:4, AMP).
a. We see a representation of tithing even as far back as the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:16, 17).
i. God told Adam that he could eat of any tree except one because it belonged to Him.
ii. Likewise, a portion of all of our income belongs to God (Leviticus 27:30-32). iii. Tithe means tenth; 10 percent of our income belongs to God.
2. Abram brought his tithe to Melchizedek, his high priest.
a. Out of gratitude, Abram brought his tithe to the high priest and Melchizedek pronounced God's blessing on him (Genesis 14:18-23).
i. God honors a vow to tithe the same as the tithe itself (Genesis 28:18-22).
b. When you bring your tithe to church, you are bringing the tithe to Jesus, your high priest.
c. Jesus then extends the blessing to you just as Melchizedek did for Abram.
d. The blessing that comes from tithing leads you on a path to success; sin, and a refusal to walk in love, block the blessing of God.
B. Under the old covenant, there was a law to tithe (Deuteronomy 14:22-29).
1. Jesus came to fulfill the law, not destroy it (Matthew 5:17-20).
2. Love is like a curtain rod upon which everything hangs (Matthew 22:34-40).
a. Every law and prophetic word hangs on the law of love.
3. Love meets the old covenant requirements and fulfills the law (Romans 13:10).
C. God wants our love for Him to move us to tithe.
1. Abram tithed because of His love and gratitude toward God, not out of obligation.
2. You should see tithing as an opportunity to show God your love and gratitude.
3. Jesus did not command tithing because the love law incorporated tithing.
a. Love God so much that tithing becomes automatic for you.

1. "Tithing in the Kingdom of God is crucial."

TRUTH: Tithing is not once commanded to the Church in terms of grace after Calvary. OT tithes were never used to send missionaries.

2. "The tithe is the key to unlocking God's blessings."

TRUTH: The entire law was a test. Obey ALL and be blessed. Disobey ONE part and be cursed. You cannot be blessed by tithing if you disobey any of the other 600+ commandments of the law per Galatians 3:10.

3. "The Bible says that whatever was written in the Old Testament was established for our learning (Romans 15:4)."

TRUTH: We are to rightly divide the Word and determine what part of it applies to the Church. The New Covenant is totally NEW. It is not a restatement of the Old.

4. "Even though tithing is not mentioned in the five gospels of the Bible."

TRUTH: There are only FOUR Gospels in my Bible. It is mentioned three (3) times ---all before Calvary and all in the context of the law.

5. Tithing and the blessing of God. God promised Abraham great blessings (Genesis 12:1-2).

TRUTH: God blessed Abraham when he actually disobeyed. God did not bless Abraham by allowing him to keep any tithe in Gen 14:21.

6. Believers are entitled to the blessings of Abraham (Galatians 3:29).

TRUTH: Yes, but these did not include tithing and the blessings were given while he was uncircumcised.

7. You gain access to the blessing of God through your tithe.

TRUTH: Only IF "you" were an OT Israelite who observed ALL of the law per Gal 3:10.

8. Abraham gave the tithe to the high priest Melchizedek and received God's blessing (Genesis 14:18-23).

TRUTH: This was not an economic blessing. Abraham kept nothing and gave the 90% to the King of Sodom. Are we to follow that example?

9. God did not command Abraham to tithe, but Abraham wanted to honor God through giving.

TRUTH: Very well-known Arab tradition required Abraham to tithe spoils of war. Research this. The Bible does not say that Abraham freely chose to give.

10. God established a covenant with Abraham after the tithe was given (Genesis 17:7).

TRUTH: The Abrahamic Covenant had no requirement for holy tithes from a holy God by a holy people under a holy Law.

11. Jacob established this covenant in his life when he vowed to give tithes to God (Genesis 28:22).

TRUTH: Jacob followed his dishonest character by telling God what to do. His tithes were from pagan land. His tithe was a freewill vow. His example is not followed by Christians.

12. God commanded the children of Israel to tithe in the Old Testament (Leviticus 27:30-32; Deuteronomy 14:22-23).

TRUTH: OT tithes were only food from food-producers who lived inside Israel. Tithes were miraculously increased by God's hand and did not come from man's hand. According to Lev 27 tithes were tenth-fruits and not firstfruits. According to Lev 27 tithes were the tenth and not the best. According to Lev 27 tithes were only to be given by national Israel.

13. Jesus was made a high priest after the order of Melchizedek under the through the Abrahamic covenant. (Hebrews 6:20).

TRUTH: After the "order" of Melchizedek and after the interpretation of his name and title -- not after his "person." His "order" was that of a "priest-king."

14. "You honor God with your Tithe and Offerings."

TRUTH: This is not taught to the Church after Calvary in terms of the New Covenant.

15. You honor God with your Tithe and Offerings showing The Father that you understand through Jesus, Jesus is why your blessed when, just like Abraham your father (Hebrews 7:16).

TRUTH: This is not what Hebrews 7:16 says. Hebrews 7:12 says that the law of tithing (7:5) must necessarily be "changed" and 7:18 says that it was "annulled."

16. God wants you to tithe out of your love for Him, He even tells you to try Him and see!

TRUTH: This is not in the Bible for the Church.

17. Kingdom empowerment is gained through tithing.
Ten percent of all your increase belongs to God (Leviticus 27:30).

TRUTH: Read Lev 27. Tithes are only the tenth-fruits of food from inside Israel and only from national Israel. Jesus, Peter and Paul did not qualify as tithe-payers.

18. Tithing is the way to maintain the flow of God's blessings and remain established in peace.

TRUTH: Error-- Out of context. See Gal 3:10.

19. Abraham obeyed God and became very wealthy (Genesis 12:4, 13:1, 2).

TRUTH: Yes, but not as a result of tithing.

20. The blessing became permanently established in Abram's life when he presented tithes to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:19, 20).

TRUTH: This is fiction --not in God's Word.

21. Abraham gave Melchizedek all the tithes from what he had won in battle (Genesis 14:20).

TRUTH: Yes, but this was only pagan spoils of war and nothing from his own possessions.

22. Jacob, Abraham's grandson made a vow to God to tithe, and God established him in His blessing (Genesis 28:18-22, AMP).

TRUTH: Jacob the supplanter set the terms and conditions, not God.

23. Melchizedek very well could have been Shem because he passed the blessing to Abraham (Genesis 14:18, 19).

TRUTH: Melchizedek did not even incorporate the name of God, Yahweh, into his worship title.

24. Like Abraham brought his tithe to Melchizedek, we pay our tithes to Jesus and receive the blessing (Hebrews 6:20- 7:16, AMP).

TRUTH: Both the OT Temple and priesthood have been replaced by the priesthood of every believer.

25. When you bring your tithes to church …

TRUTH: The NT Church is never called a storehouse. The OT forbade those who received the Levitical tithes from owning and inheriting property In Num 18. This is ignored today.

26. Abraham gave the tenth of all of his income, not a part like some like to do now all!

TRUTH: This is not in the Bible. Heb 7:4

27. God told Melchizedek to pronounce the blessing on Abraham life in the earth (Genesis 14:19, 20).

TRUTH: Conjecture. Any 2000 BC Arab priest-king would have honored a returning victor the same way.

28. Jesus has the rank of Melchizedek; we bring our tithe to Him as our high priest (Hebrews 6:20).

TRUTH: This ignores the teaching of Hebrews 7:5, 12, 18.

29. There was once a commandment to tithe, but today, we bring our tithes because we love God (Hebrews 7:1-15).

TRUTH: This is not what Hebrews 7:12-19 teaches.

30. When you bring your tithe to your church, you are bringing the tithe to Jesus; therefore, you receive the blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13, 14).

TRUTH: This ignores the context of Galatians 3:10-12; 3:1-2 and 1:8-9.

31. What can you expect when you tithe? The windows of Heaven will open (Malachi 3:10).

TRUTH: This ignores Galatians 3:10. It ignores the context of the entire Law as a TEST. Obey ALL to be blessed; break ONE and be cursed.

32. Windows of heaven:

TRUTH: Read Neh 10:29; Deut 28 and 29. "Windows of heaven" was a common term relating to the blessings and curses of the whole law. 28:12, 23

33. The tithe will cause you to have divine direction and the ability to pursue that direction!

TRUTH: Ignores the context of the blessings and curses of the whole law and Gal 3:10.

34. When we tithe, God rebukes the devourer for our sake (Malachi 3:11, 12); we become a delightsome land in Christ!

TRUTH: "We" the Church are never commanded to tithe. Our pastors are allowed to own and inherit property and we are not told to kill disobedient children.

35. Tithing is how we honor God and activate His blessing on our lives.

TRUTH: Repeating something over and over does not make it part of God's Word.

36. As a Christian, am I to tithe? Our hope and expectation comes as a result of studying and learning the Word written in the former days (Romans 15:4, AMP).

TRUTH: Does this mean that we are under the entire OT law and that the New Covenant is merely a restatement of the OT? Compare Heb 8:9.

37. Likewise, a portion of all of our income belongs to God (Leviticus 27:30-32). Tithe means tenth; 10 percent of our income belongs to God.

TRUTH: Although money was very common in Genesis and occurs 44 times before Leviticus 20, money is never included in 16 texts which describe the contents of the tithe. Tithes are NOT income of Christians. Tithes were only income from food producers inside Israel. Jesus, Peter and Paul were NOT tithe-payers.

38. Abram brought his tithe to Melchizedek, his high priest --Out of gratitude.

TRUTH: This is not in the Bible.

39. When you bring your tithe to church, you are bringing the tithe to Jesus, your high priest.

TRUTH: This is not in the Bible. If it were, the preacher could not own or inherit property and would be forced to kill anybody entering the sanctuary per Numbers 18.

40. The blessing that comes from tithing leads you on a path to success; sin, and a refusal to walk in love, blocks the blessing of God.

TRUTH: Superior NT giving principles are: freewill, generous, sacrificial, joyful, not by commandment or percentage and motivated by love for God and others.

41. Under the old covenant, there was a law to tithe (Deuteronomy 14:22-29).

TRUTH: Read the text. The tithe was 23% --not 10%. The second festival tithe was eaten in the streets. The third third-year tithe was kept in the homes for the poor.

42. Jesus came to fulfill the law, not destroy it (Matthew 5:17-20).

TRUTH: Read 5:19-48. It is in the context of ALL the law and he fulfilled all the righteousness of the law. Christians are 'dead to the law" per Rom 7:4.

43. You should see tithing as an opportunity to show God your love and gratitude.

TRUTH: We should give following superior New Covenant Spirit blessed giving principles. Those who are wealthy should give far more than 10% while those who are poor give sacrificially at less than 10%. 2 Cor 8:12-15

44. Jesus did not command tithing because the love law incorporated tithing.

TRUTH: Did the "love law" tell you to kill disobedient children, false worshippers, idolaters, adulterers and Saturday-sabbath breakers? What CONSISTENT principle do you use to make your decisions about what parts of the law to keep and what parts to reject?

45. Love God so much that tithing becomes automatic.

TRUTH: Love God so much that sacrificial giving becomes automatic. Focus on love for God and others and stop focusing on a percentage. 2 Cor 8:12-15

This article from the NETBible documents the requirement of (2 or) 3 tithes that the Jewish person had to pay during temple times:

Tithe
a tenth of the produce of the earth consecrated and set apart for special purposes. The dedication of a tenth to God was recognized as a duty before the time of Moses. Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek (Gen. 14:20; Heb. 7:6); and Jacob vowed unto the Lord and said, "Of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee."

The first Mosaic law on this subject is recorded in Lev. 27:30-32. Subsequent legislation regulated the destination of the tithes (Num. 18:21-24, 26-28; Deut. 12:5, 6, 11, 17; 14:22, 23). The paying of the tithes was an important part of the Jewish religious worship. In the days of Hezekiah one of the first results of the reformation of religion was the eagerness with which the people brought in their tithes (2 Chr. 31:5, 6). The neglect of this duty was sternly rebuked by the prophets (Amos 4:4; Mal. 3:8-10).

Every Jew was required by the Levitical law to pay three tithes of his property

(1) one tithe for the Levites;
(2) one for the use of the temple and the great feasts; and
(3) one for the poor of the land.

Here is an article from the Catholic Encyclopedia where they admit legislating the "tithea' from the "old law":

In the Christian Church, as those who serve the altar should live by the altar (1 Corinthians 9:13), provision of some kind had necessarily to be made for the sacred ministers. In the beginning this was supplied by the spontaneous offerings of the faithful. In the course of time, however, as the Church expanded and various institutions arose, it became necessary to make laws which would insure the proper and permanent support of the clergy. The payment of tithes was adopted from the Old Law, and early writers speak of it as a divine ordinance and an obligation of conscience. The earliest positive legislation on the subject seems to be contained in the letter of the bishops assembled at Tours in 567 and the canons of the Council of Maçon in 585. In course of time, we find the payment of tithes made obligatory by ecclesiastical enactments in all the countries of christendom. The Church looked on this payment as "of divine law, since tithes were instituted not by man but by the Lord Himself" (C. 14, X de decim. III, 30).

a
So based on this reasoning, seeing that it is not a practice of the Jesus or the early church, why would a Protestant church want to follow in the Catholic church in trying to reinstitute the "tithe" from the "old law"?

Correction, regarding the terms wine used in vs. 23 & vs 26. They are not the same:

In vs 23 the wine is : H 8492 - tirosh
In vs 26 the wine is : H 3196 - yayin This is the type of wine that Noah and Lot drank.
It is obviously alcoholic.

Sister Ann,

Once again your making up scriptures. There has only been one kind of tithe. Vs. 23 says "NEW WINE" and VS> 26 says "WINE OR STRONG DRINK". They are one in the same. But the purpose of tithing has been for one thing...VS 26-29. You ate the tithe with your house hold, the widows, the orphans, the alien, and the LEVITICAL PRIEST. But the main point that most people miss is that tithing was done ONCE a year. And that it was given to the Levitical priest every three years. It was never collected once a week as we do today.
Comment by Anna on March 20, 2009 at 11:33pm
Bro Klutz:

Ok, now you are correcting yourself and saying saying instead that there was
"no priest in the temple", rather than " there was no temple or Levitical priest..."
There is a BIG difference between the two statements.

However, no one is attacking you, I only asked you to clarify what you meant. You finally did in your last post, why couldn't that be done in the beginning and we wouldn't have had to waste all this time and blog space?

Now we do have an instance where Jesus does verbally attack the scribes and pharisees,
in Matt. 23. Is that because they were telling the truth?

But back to the tithing issue, as with everything else we must remember-
2 Timothy 3:16 -
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

If one's doctrines cannot be supported by the scripture it is simply based upon commandments and doctrines of men.

Here are some of the texts that deal with "tithing". Do you realize that there was more than one tithe. And with that tithe, the offerer could buy *wine and strong drink*:

Deut 14:
22 “You shall surely tithe all the produce from what you sow, which comes out of the field every year.

23 “You shall eat in the presence of the LORD your God, at the place where He chooses to establish His name, the tithe of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and your flock, so that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.

24 “If the distance is so great for you that you are not able to bring the tithe, since the place where the LORD your God chooses to set His name is too far away from you when the LORD your God blesses you,

25 then you shall exchange it for money, and bind the money in your hand and go to the place which the LORD your God chooses.

26 “You may spend the money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen, or sheep, or
***wine, or strong drink***, or whatever your heart desires; and there you shall eat in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice, you and your household.

27 “Also you shall not neglect the Levite who is in your town, for he has no portion or inheritance among you.

28 “At the end of every third year you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce in that year, and shall deposit it in your town.

29 “The Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance among you, and the

***alien, the orphan and the widow who are in your town***,

shall come and eat and be satisfied, in order that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

Now Pastors, regarding the alien, widow and orphan, who the Bible designates as recipients of the tithe, how many of you, who teach tithing, give part of the tithe that comes in to these needy individuals, especially your widows, who we see getting special care in the early church in Acts 6?

Sister Emma,

I say this with no disrespect...but you know what ASSUME means. The teaching is correct. The temple was closed off and there were no priest in the temple. Hezekiah had to reastablish tithing and offering. He also had to put the priest in place to take it. Don't try to twist my words and confuse people, because I'm not. But it's good that you two are trying. You know when the truth is being spoken, PEOPLE ATTACK YOU.

God Bless

You are correct Bro Kluttz, tithing is not money.

But in regards to your statement about the temple and the priests, you could have been more precise.

There was a temple, and there was a priesthood, they just you said there was no temple or priesthood, did you not?

We must must not add or take away from what is actually written. For a novice, reading your earlier message you made it sound like the priests and temple had disappeared.
