WHAT IS THE ROLE OF ASSOCIATE MINISTERS THAT SERVE UNDER PASTORS?

I'D LIKE SOME FEEDBACK FROM SOME OF YOU PASTORS,THERE ARE SOME TIMES WE SEE ASSOCIATE MINISTER'S DOING THINGS THAT SEEM OUT OF LINE.FOR EXAMPLE AT ALTER CALL INSTEAD OF PRAYING THEY START PREACHING,AT OFFERING TIME BEFORE TAKING UP THE OFFERING THEY HAVE TO BREAKOUT IN A LONG DRAWN OUT SONG RUNNING OUT OF THE PULPIT SHAKING THE CONGRGATIONS HANDS AND SINGING TO THEM,DROPPING THE MICROPHONE,JUMPING AROUND,VISITING OTHER CHURCHES FOR OPPORTUNITY TO PREACH WE SERVICE IS GOING ON AT THERE OWN CHURCH,INTERRUPTING SERVICE TO CORRECT PEOPLE. IN MY OPPINION SEEMS TO BE OUT OF CHARACTER FOR A LEADER IN ANY CHURCH. WHAT KIND OF DISIPLINE IS APPLYED FOR THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR?

As an associate minister myself, we are to follow the vision that God has given the Shepherd of the House...the Pastor! God will have already revealed to us where we should be and when we are to move, God will let us know. My pastor conducts leadership training each month and part of the training is minister's etiquette.

When and if we are called to Pastor the Lord will direct us, but until that time we should never usurp the authority of the Pastor. If we cannot follow the Pastor, how will we be able to ever lead. Scriptures have shown us over and over again the roles between those given the vision and how the mantle is passed on. We must be humble enough to follow in order for the Lord to show us how to lead.

I never take any preaching engagement until it is first discussed with my Pastors. When my pastors are on vacation or away for some other reason, service goes on just like they are present. During altar call, unless my pastor specifically asks for me to pray for the person, he does the prayer. While pastor is praying for the person, I am praying for the pastor. He must be covered in prayer as well.

As Rev. Luckett said about his Pastor, my Pastor teaches us to always stay in our own lane. If an associate minister goes outside of that, they are not doing things that are pleasing unto God because they disparage God's man, the Pastor.

To promote the building of God's Kingdom, to assist in bring God's Vision to Past. God First! God has given us Pastor's after His own heart. A healthy Pastor will nuture the people of God at all times. The role of a associate minister is to follow the lead that the Pastor is promoting for God...If that Pastor is not promoting the "Vision of the Kingdom" me personally if He is not, first I pray then I will seek God for an anwer about moving!
