When God's Vision is stopped... (Stop praying for folks to be blessed!)

Around 2002 I was asked to minister at a church in Florida. I ministered there for a few days. The church was avery very religious church. Each day that God allowed me to minister, I walked in the prophetic which was new to them. It was an older established black church.

On saturday afternoon I sat and talked to the pastor who was several months, perhaps close to a year of retiring. As we talked he pulled out an awesome vision and plan that he had been holding onto for over a decade. He told me that he went to the church about the vision in an attempt to get them to go forward with it. They shot him down. As we were talking God spoke to my heart and let me know that the vision was of him for that church. I told the pastor. He just sat there and cried.

The prophetic anointing was very strong there that weekend. God led me to share strong words with that church to the degree that I found out afterward...they were considering having me investigated and arrested. (They of course would have brought wrath upon themselves if they pursued that line of action)

God's vision must go forth! Now! We m ust begin to pray people out or up who hinder or even stop the vision and plan of God from going forth. We must stop praying for people to be blessed who do not deserve God's blessing.

I love your response..But some people are not going to let us know no more than what they want us to know,,with that said should we continue to pray when knowing that they have and want to keep a private life??

The fact that you would say you get it "BUT" shows that IF (and I say IF) Yah would tell you to stop praying and/or dealing with someone who is in idolatry or disobedience you would not hear because it seems that you feel that He always wants someone standing in the gap...

However, that "gap" from what scripture reads ALWAYS refers to Ha Moshiac Yahshua. The thing about it is that other than scripture telling us to pray for the sick (as Elders) or praying our petitions, Scripture DOES NOT speak to us as intercessor OR mediator. In fact the word intercessor is only mentioned ONCE in the book of Isaiah, While mediator is reserved for the messiah in every scripture that uses the word.

My point is that Yahweh NEVER gave us the responsibility to "stand in the gap" on behalf of anyone other than the situations I mentioned (and maybe a couple more. The desire and heart that you show is not what is in questions however, I would say that it can best be served with a "personal" touch or "presence" with those who are in need.

The scripture speaks of ONE mediator between Yahweh and Mankind and that is Yahshua...AGAIN I am not saying that we do not pray for people but i am saying that we need to get up close and personal with them...

Shalom

Okay, okay, I get it!! But I am the intercessor who is always wanting to stand in the gap for people to be blessed!! I do think, however that the instances where God instructs some of his people not to pray for certain people are few and far between. God is always, always looking for someone to stand in the gap for stiff necked, unassuming, and/or ungrateful people. Those who may be going against the grain right now may just lack wisdom and may need someone to move them more and more toward God's truth...anyway, my two cents...God bless you all!!!

I'm enjoying your thoughts and responses....this is how we grow, learn and become better stewards of God's word.

We are at the time of the culling of the church. The time of the Gentile is at the close, even as the veil is being lifted from the eyes of the Jews - at an ever increasing rate.

This brother is the point of it all...Although I would not use the term Jew but Israelite the fact is that it is so true...Those blood (human) and those israelites By the blood (of Yahshua) are waking up...the so-called church will soon come to realize the sad truth which is that they have lived a lie.

First thing is in scripture Yah did tell his prophet in Jer 7:16 to not pray for this people because of their IDOLOTRY...

The so-called church is in that same position today with it's holidays and "new sabbath". Maybe if we prayed for and the way Messiah prayed there would be no mistaken what to pray for...The blessings of the Most High are on the JUST and UNJUST so that should not be a question...Who cares about those who supposedly know the truth and want to "stop a vision" there should be ONE vision and that is to Heal the sick, take care of widows, feed the orphans and the homeless..

The vail of Yahweh's people is coming off..and he's calling for all who aknowledge Yahshua as Messiah to come out of the harlot of the false CHURCH and get back to Torah through the Grace that has been received!!!

Get out of her my people Yahweh is calling you out!!!!

May I suggest that Matthew 5:44 should be interpreted as: One should be a blessing to “those who curse you”, to do good toward them and to pray for them, but not to pray God’s blessings upon them. Even so, we should not confuse a person who rejects God’s word with one who intends to do you harm. The two are not necessarily the same thing.

Also, if and when God gives you a word to be delivered (shared), then that is what you are called to do. Not to argue (defend) it or attempt to persuade the hearer to accept that word. Speak only what God has instructed, adding nothing of your own. God said this…. Do it and this will be the results …… Reject it this will be the results …….

They may choose life or they may choose death, encourage them to choose life, but the final decision will always be up to the individual.

We are at the time of the culling of the church. The time of the Gentile is at the close, even as the veil is being lifted from the eyes of the Jews - at an ever increasing rate.

What I mean is... that we should not stop praying for people. We should pray for people unless God tells us not to but we sometimes have to stop praying for people to get the blessings from the hand of God until they begin to obey that heart of God. I think that we should definitely warfare on behalf of people so that they might have the opportunity to be free enough to make life and God lead decisions. Sometimes we hinder what God wants to do by praying that people are blessed rather than delivered.

Yes, God will repay but we must be sensitive to His leading in prayer also instead of always praying blanket bless them prayers. When the bible talks about blessing them, it is not always talking about give them substance, although sometimes we should but I believe it is saying do not hand out your own brand of justice, let God deal with that but love them , forgive, and as or if God leads to offer what they need and sometimes what they desire, again as lead by God.

"We must stop praying for people to be blessed who do not deserve God's blessing." Whoaaa!! I don't know about that!! The Bible tells us to bless them that curse you or come against even things that God is telling you to do (Matt. 5:44). God will repay!! As the Word says, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers... (Eph 6:12). Of course, we must continue to pray for the people no matter what state they are in. We must pray blessings for the people and rebuke the spirit that is tryig to invade them and influence their thinking and actions.
