My brother Germain, that's a lot to read the link you have provided is a book. Do you have anything shorter you could post?
Brother Watchman I have gotten into this conversation many times with those that are of the Hebraic teachings and beliefs about names, bibles and languages. It is exhausting and meaningless! Some talk about the translation and then the transliteration of words.

This is my viewpoint and all I will say on this subject because I know this will get filled and argued (I do mean argued).

We all know that when translations or transliterations happen the names most times change but not the meaning of that name. Of course Jesus was called by his earthly parents and other Jews/Hebrews Yeshua. We know that in the beginning Abram/Abraham knew God by the name of "God Almighty" means El Shaddai but not YHWH/Jehovah in Exodus 6:3. In Exodus 3:14 when asked by Moses what name shall I say sent me, God said to Moses, tell them (children of Israel) that "I AM" sent me to you. "I AM" means, to be; be in existence; to exist. Otherwords "I simply am". God is above names as we think of and truly above what we know as existence. We want to put a handle on everything and pigeon-hole everything. You can't do that to/with God. Now if Abraham knew God by a different name was he using God's name in vain (as some take that scripture out of context - using God's name in vain means those that prophesy in God's name and God didn't send them, but that's a different subject), I don't think so according to God because He simply told Moses they didn't know Me by that name.

I've heard people say that Jesus is from the Greek god Iesous (spelling wrong) and that's not true either. Then there is the "there was no "J" in Hebrew and on and on and on. There are those so zealous (I can relate because when it comes to false doctrine, I too am over zealous) with the names for God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. They even change their names to a Hebrew name and I don't have a problem with that at all. Changing your name is not going to get you into the Kingdom of God and we know this. Jesus already did everything for that to happen it's just up to you to accept what He did for us and follow Him. Anyway I will say this (and I've gotten into all kinds of debates for it - trust me) I truly believe that God picked and chose those individuals to translate/transliterate the bible into English and He only needed to do this one time and I believe that to be the KJV. I"ve heard all the arguments about the first one had the Apocra's and Maccabees and all that but that is what man did and not God and why God when he chose those later to take those things out that was not from Him. Anyway God knows what He is doing and I don't dispute it. You can call Him, Jesus, Yehoshua, Yeshua, Joshua or Yahushuwa if you want. What matters is not the name you call Him but what LIGHT is in you. Are you being led by the Holy Spirit or the flesh. Are you full of man's ceremonies, traditions and other needless things or following Jesus' command to preach/teach (means to make disciples of nations) His Word and make disciples to do the same as in Matthew 28:19. All this other stuff that is important to man and not God is futile.

This is just my opinion and my opinion really doesn't matter one bit. God bless.
Thanks John, I appreciate it. God bless
I think it is important to call by the right name.(Yeshua) teach at church,In his time no one knew him as jesus.people need to get there research and knowledge straight, stop going by how you feel.members of church need to educate them selves about the history of christanity.
Yehoshua/Yeshua, Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach the Tzaddik.
YEHOSHUA JOSHUA
Yeshuah Salvation, Saving Power
rebbe teacher Rebbe (REHB-bee) Usu. translated Grand Rabbi. The leader of a Chasidic community, often believed to have special, mystical power.
Melech King
hamoshiach the anointed
Tzaddik [Moshiach] The Righteous One, i.e. declare him to be in the right, innocent, righteous
Tzaddik (TSAH-deek)
Lit. righteous person. A completely righteous person, often believed to have special, mystical power.

this is the direct translation from the original Hebrew or Aramaic language, Jesus is never really referred to as Jesus, nor as Christ, but all of God's Word even the translation is God inspired for our understanding and is fully applicable to todays nation of followers.

In other words, Jesus is correct for our time and our understanding as it implies exactly what it is suppose to

I hope this helps brother, God bless you and your work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
