Salvation is it eternal regardless of the circumstances or not come on lets get everyone’s opinion

But what is your take on what would have happened if the prodigal son or anyone who had received salvation backslides by rejecting the Father, His Son, the Holy Ghost and totally turned away from the faith and DIED without having repented or had the opportunity to return to the fold. Would that person be heading for hell or heaven? This is a conversation that came up with a couple of my work colleague when we were in an after discussion on Luke 15:11-32 so I would be interested in having a discussion and receiving everyone's point of view.

Preacher why did God evict Adam and Eve from the Garden

FRIEND God tells us why he kicked them out of the garden...the reason is spiritual they were kicked out into the world...the flaming swords reprsents Jesus...we can only return through Jesus Christ...Adam and Eve were saved after they fell..read where God made coverings for them from an animal..that animal was most likely a lamb...that had to die for God to use their skins to COVER adam and eve's sins..see the connection? the fig leaf Adam and eve made was not sufficiant there there had to be blood shed..this points to Jesus..the lamb slaine from before the foundation of the world...

Revelation 13:8
All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

sorry Preacher I am loss if Adam and Eve was saved from their sin before being evicted from the garden and this was before they had children why is all men born with sin through the sin of Adam and Eve if there was no longer any sin because as you said all had been forgiven before they left the garden

Adam and Eve were evicted that they may not eat of the tree of life and continue in the body of sin, not just because sin had no place in heaven it was for there good and a message that spoke volume to us and thats why scripture says ye must be born again(new man) adam(old man) The eviction was the fall, however the seed of the woman shall bruise the head of the servant, and by whom we would be justified.

Preacher,

Scripture refutes you on OSAS, starting from the garden of eden. Man has a choice... whether salvation is present or not. Rev 22 refutes you... for its possible for you to forfeit your gift of eternal life.
thats Incorrect...man does not have a choice to become born again...that would be impossible...we are saved by grace not works..
GB
Preacher,

Look at the scriptures I showed you, and you will see the choice of one who does have salvation, but CAN give it up.
there is something we have to do to be saved, we have to receive salvation, and one sin may not send us to hell, but a life style of sin will. read Isaiah 59: 1-2

Word of thought, if only they would set aside legalism, or self righteousness. Salvation is of the Lord. Man may change but not God. He may punish us, for our own good, but He will never leave us nor forsake us. As exemplified and illustrated in the relationship between the prodigal son and his father.

Oh no! When shall we Christians begin to appreciate God for who He is, and what we are.

THE FOLLOWING IS A EMAIL REPONSE TO THE QUESTION ABOVE SENT TO ME FROM BENJAMIN i HAVE POSTED IT SO IT CAN FORM PART OF THE RESPONSE AND BE SUBJECTED TO COMMENTS:

Dear Sister Angela & Friends
In direct response to your invitation regarding eternal security, here is an excerpt taken from a teaching I posted this morning:
MORE ON THE RIGHT MIX... ( This teaching comment from Benjamin was found at http://greatlakesalliance.ning.com )

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. Galatians 5:4
Can someone actually experience God's grace and then fall from it?...
Is Paul use of the word fallen refering to a missed opportunity?... Could this be a reference to the seed where Satan comes and steals the word that was sown in one's heart? (see above blog) If so, this tends to support the above parallel of consumation without conception. The seed of the gospel could not attach it self and take root from a type of ground that was mixed with legalism. Was not this the crux of Paul's lettter of rebuke that we find in Galatians?
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. Galatians 1:6,7

In this context, was not a perspective of false doctrine perverting or infecting one's soil by teaching a gospel mixed with legalism? Is it not possible that Paul's reference to being removed or fallen from grace being addressed to those who had been given opportunity to embrace the truth of salvation but decided to go another way?...

Perhaps Paul's audience to these words were at least in part like the rich young ruler who initially embraced Christ with joy but after further consideration of what Christ was really revealing to him rejected the truth and went away. The soil of the rich young ruler was infected with greed and legalism. Christ exposed both perverted influences by telling this man in order to be saved by works you must give away everything you have. The words of Christ confronted and exposed the perverted influence that greed and legalism were having upon this man's soil. Christ was saying what Paul was saying in that before you can swallow and taste and see God's grace you first have to spit up your greed and legalism. Listen the law was to break our wills down...not build us up!

I believe we must be careful before we begin to raise the banner of conditional salvation over eternal security just because Paul pens, someone has departed or fallen from grace. The very thrust of Paul's rebuke was to defend the power of the gospel. A gospel that rest entirely upon the completed works of Jesus Christ and not our own. An exclusive life-changing gospel which translates from one inescapable state of damnation into another inescapable state of God's dear son.

Still Amazed by His Grace!
Benjamin
God's grace doesn't mean salvation...tasting of his spirit doesn't mean salvation..experiencing his spirit doesn't mean salvation...Judas did all this, yet was never saved...David fell from grace..yet is saved...falling from grace doesn't mean losing salvation...It means following your own way for a while...as with Peter...David and many other prohets of God...

We are saved by grace..but God's grace doesn't mean we are saved..his grace is to the whole world..or else there would be no world...

Let's see what the bible says?

Genesis 3: 21The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 23So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24After he drove the man out, he placed on the east sidee of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. ( Salvation )

this teaches us that there is nothing WE can do to become saved..notice it says less HE REACH OUT HIS HAND...in other words that he would save himself is Impossible we must be saved through Christ hand
( work ) alone
skins of an animal to cover them...why? they alread were covered with the leaves...MAN cannot get himself saved by any works that he does..is what this is teaching us...look here and keep in mind the skins taken from the animal for a covering...

Isaiah 61:10
I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Genesis 3: 21The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them

1 Corinthians 11
“This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup,
you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

GB
Preacher,

Yah gives us the chance to repent and receive salvation, but its up to us to take it all the way, and really be saved. If this was not true, then its no need to keep telling people to repent, repent, repent, when those who are OSAS will repent anyways. That's like me telling you to preach, when I know 100% that you will preach anyway.
