Friends,
I am going to take a deep breath and share this information with you...and then go back to my quiet corner.
I am neither Republican nor Democrat. I look at the particular candidates decisions over their political careers and review their party's platform on the issues that are most important to me. This determines who I vote for ...who will have my "voice". I never vote a straight ticket.
Can you imagine what would happen if ALL Christians would educate themselves before going to the polls? I don't mean with heresay and propoganda but with the facts!
Let me give you an example:

THREE current Moral issues - all quotes in blue and red are from the verbiage in each party's documented platforms as seen in the above links.
*embryonic stem-cell research & * abortion (two closely linked issues)
How are stem cells obtained?
Current research projects have obtained stem cells from tissue which has been removed during terminated pregnancies or from embryos produced by in-vitro fertilization clinics. Once isolated, the cells can be grown up in the laboratory and stored for future use. Each reservoir of cells, derived from a single embryo, is known as a cell line. A more reliable supply would be obtained by copying or cloning embryos specifically for their stem cells.
Why the controversy?
Because stem cells are obtained from destroyed embryos, the concerns are similar to those surrounding abortion. Most opponents of legal abortions also oppose this research. In addition, the possibility that cell lines could be developed from cloned embryos raises ethical concerns associated with propriety of human cloning
The Democratic Party's platform on these two issues is:
"Research should be based on science not ideology"
"The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports the decision of Roe vs Wade and a woman's right to choose a safe and legal abortion...and oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right"
The Republican Party's platform on these two issues is combined as "Maintaining the sanctity and dignity of human life" stance:
"...we assert the inherent dignity and sanctity of all human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed."
"We all have a moral obligation to assist, not to penalize, women struggling with the challenges of an unplanned pregnancy. At its core, abortion is a fundamental assault on the sanctity of innocent human life. Women deserve better than abortion."
* marriage
Democrats - "We support the full inclusion of all families, including same-sex couples, in the life of our nation and support equal responsibilities, benefits and protection. We will enact a comprehensive bipartisan employment non-discrimination act. We oppose the Defense of Marriage Act and all attempts to use this issue to divide us.
Republicans had a lot to say -
"Republicans recognize the importance of having in the home a father and a mother who are married. Because our children’s future is best preserved within the traditional understanding of marriage, we call for a constitutional amendment that fully protects marriage as a union of a man and a woman, so that judges cannot make other arrangements equivalent to it. In the absence of a national amendment, we support the right of the people of the various states to affirm traditional marriage through state initiatives. We support the courageous efforts of single-parent families to provide a stable home for their children. Children are our nation’s most precious resource. We also salute and support the efforts of foster and adoptive families. Republicans have been at the forefront of protecting traditional marriage laws, both in the states and in Congress. A Republican Congress enacted the Defense of Marriage Act, affirming the right of states not to recognize same-sex “marriages” licensed in other states. Unbelievably, the Democratic Party has now pledged to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, which would subject every state to the redefinition of marriage by a judge without ever allowing the people to vote on the matter. We also urge Congress to use its Article III, Section 2 power to prevent activist federal judges from imposing upon the rest of the nation the judicial activism in Massachusetts and California. We also encourage states to review their marriage and divorce laws in order to strengthen marriage."
What is the Defense of Marriage Act that the Democrats strongly oppose? Good question?:
The Defense of Marriage Act, or DOMA, is the short title of a federal law of the United States passed on September 21, 1996
No state (or other political subdivision within the United States) need treat a relationship between persons of the same sex as a marriage, even if the relationship is considered a marriage in another state.
The Federal Government may not treat same-sex relationships as marriages for any purpose, even if concluded or recognized by one of the states.
This is only THREE moral issues that shows the Republican party clearly stands on biblical principles while Democrats do not. I could cite more and I could also show how the Republicans aren’t all that economically wonderful in their policies but this would be the longest email ever. After all, it was a Republican administration that has our economy so jacked up.
Next time,
Don't vote Republican
Don't vote Democrate
Vote - GOD's principles
My question is... for whom do most "Christians" vote and why? Do we even bother to find out if the people we are voting for agree with the God we so passionately serve? And what would most Christians do if America became a less Christian nation and a nation of a "united religions"? Or are we already there??
Do you remember hearing this statement recently.... Out of Many...One?
E pluribus unum, is Latin for "Out of Many, One," is America's motto. don't believe me, look on the back of your money. This phrase, originally suggested that out of many colonies or states emerge a single nation, it has come to suggest that out of many peoples, races, and ancestries has emerged a single people and nation – illustrating the concept of the "melting pot".
E pluribus unum was considered a de facto motto of the United States until 1956 when the United States Congress passed an act adopting In God We Trust as the official motto.
So why go back to focusing on the old motto "Out of Many...One" instead of "In God We Trust"???? Well our nation is divided on so many issues. And using these words sounds wonderfully uniting but the cost will continue to be a wounded land. The SPIRIT of America is In God We Trust. The resulting outcome is Out of many...One. The melting pot is a result of our beliefs. We should never get that twisted or we will find ourselves being driven by a different "spirit" or under a principality whose yoke is not easy and whose burden is not light.
What would happen if a non-Christian faith were to become dominate in America... what would we "Christians" do then?
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves,
and pray,
and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.
God bless America? No, I say America get obedient to God's word and He will AUTOMATICALLY bless America.
Side note on Foreign Affairs - our most important foreign affair is our allegiance to Israel.
