What of The NEW Covenant and NEW Convenant "Jew"(Believer)
What of The NEW Covenant, and The New Covenant "Jew"(Believer)?

Jer 31:31-37 "Behold, the days come, says YHWH, that I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: NOT ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT THAT I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS IN THE TIME THAT I TOOK THEM BY THE HAND TO BRING THEM OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT FOR THEY BROKE THAT COVENANT, although I was an husband unto them, says YHWH:

(Thankfully no longer natural "fathers" but YHWH, "Our Father" in "the NEWness of The Spirit not the letter")

But this shall be the NEW covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says YHWH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts(not in stone, but in their heart consciousness); and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be MY people.

("Come Out of her, MY people"! Come out of this world and it's systems of religion)

And every man shall no longer teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, "Know YHWH", for they shall all know ME, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says YHWH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Thus says YHWH, which gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; YHWH of hosts is HIS name:
If those ordinances depart from before ME, says YHWH, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before ME for ever.
Thus says YHWH; If Heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says YHWH."

The NEW Covenant established The Truth that, "he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, whose circumcision is that of the flesh, he is a Jew who is one inwardly, whose circumcision was of the heart" as he was immersed in, of, by and through The Holy, Set Apart Spirit that is of The Only True G-D, Father(Creator) of ALL. And all gentile NEW Covenant Believers are "grafted into The Good olive tree".......
And The NEW Spiritual Israel?
"A Holy nation".......
"A nation of kings and priests" indeed and Truth, and all New Covenant Believers are "strangers and pilgrims on the earth" whose "citizenship (Life) is in Heaven".
They are not of this wicked, evil world and it's systems of religion because they have taken heed unto The Call of The Only True G-D, Father (Creator) of ALL to "Come out of her, MY people".......
And The NEW Covenant Believers are exhorted to "set their affections on things above, Heavenly things" and not be of those "whose god is their bellies, and whose glory is in their shame, because they mind earthly things".......
Sadly, there are multitudes who profess a belief in The Messiah with their mouth only for they are "friends of this world", and they "love this world and it's things" and "love their own life in and of the world" .......
All such will hear those woe filled words, "Depart from ME all you workers of iniquity".......
Thankfully The NEW Covenant Believers, The Brethren of The Messiah, have their "citizenship(Life) in Heaven" for they are "A Holy nation" of "kings and priests", all of whom are thankful that, that which was "decaying and waxing old" DID "vanish away" with the destruction of the natural, earthly kingdom centered in jerusalem.
At that time "THY Kingdom" DID "Come" for The Messiah delivered up The Kingdom unto His G-D and Father(Creator), and The Kingdom of The Only True G-D in Heaven WAS, IS, and ALWAYS WILL BE indeed and Truth.......
No longer old, natural, earthly and temporal, The NEW WAS, IS, and ALWAYS WILL BE Spiritual, Heavenly and Eternal.......
And so it is that yesterday, today, and if there be a tomorrow, that the chosen ones, the elect, The NEW Covenant Believer, those Brethren of The Messiah but seek and desire that which is Spiritual, Heavenly and Eternal.......

"Not of the letter, but of The Spirit: for the letter kills, but The Spirit gives Life......."
"And where The Spirit that was in The Messiah IS, there is Liberty", "only use
not this Liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but in Love serve one another".......
And Paul bore witness to Jeremiah's prophecy concerning The NEW Covenant
being fulfilled in Hebrews chapter 8, as well as the following testimony given
by John, I John 2:27 "But the anointing which you have received of HIM abides
in you, and you do not need any man to teach you: but as the same anointing
teaches you of all things, and is Truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught
you, you shall abide in HIM......."
Thankfully that which "waxed old" DID "vanish away" indeed and Truth with the
destruction of the earthly kingdom centered in jerusalem.......
Simply, for me it seems that "a simple and spiritual life is the only life that will
survive".......
i believe such to be in harmony with The Life and Teachings(Life and Teachings
which were received from Our Father) of The Messiah.
Peace, in spite of the dis-ease(no-peace) that is of this world, for "the WHOLE
world is under the control of the evil one" indeed and Truth....... francis

If Torah is written on our hearts, as Jeremiah 31:31-34 & Hebrews 8:8-12 shows us, then it cannot be dead to us. It only makes sense.

to make theo'ry'logical sense of those "colored marks".......
Most definitely it is The Spirit which gives Life, not mere words.......

You will have to explain your mysterious "colored marks". Yeshua himself upheld Torah, and taught us to do the same(Yeshua 5:17-20). Paul upheld Torah, and taught us to do the same(Romans 3:31). In fact, Paul himself, from his own mouth, stated that he was a Pharisee(Acts 23:6).
You mentioned the legacy of the Pharisees. I dont think you understand who the Pharisees actually were. Pharisees were strick law keepers. Some of them, namely, the ones that Yeshua encountered, followed traditions of man rather than Yahweh's Torah. NOT all Pharisees were like that. Paul was a Pharisee, who continued to keep Torah ABSENT of traditions of man, just like our master Yeshua.

There are many who know every "colored mark written on a dead tree", mere
words recorded on the pages of what they call their "bible", yet they know not
The Living Word of Truth.......
Sadly, they are captivated by the letter, and The Spirit can reveal naught to
one who believes they know, when in Truth they "know nothing yet as they
aught to know".......
While the old yet remained, torah as you know it remained.
