Why do some Christians live in sin?

Many Christians seem to be fighting constantly in their minds, struggling spiritually against power of sin, and dying of spiritual starvation. Many christians are living unholy lives and they spend their entire lives running in circles. Some are falling in sin, being forgiven and then doing it all over again and they cry constantly over their weakness, poverty, and sickness. Backsliding seem to be on an up rise and the saints are becoming more and more worldly everyday. Why is this so? Do you have any answers?

It's the parable of the sower,Luke:8:13-THEY ON THE ROCK,ARE THEY WHICH WHEN THEY HEAR ,RECEIVE THE WORD WITH JOY,AND THESE HAVE NO ROOT,WHICH FOR A WHILE THEY BELIEVE,AND IN TIME OF TEMPTATION FALL AWAY.I see it everyday,christians profess among themsevles,but if you walk up behind them and they don't know you're there,you hear the true foundation that they stand on.And I guess I have to take the blame for a little bit of it,because when I see this I don't confront or rebruke because I know it's not going to last,just until I walk away.But I just refuse to be part of the yo-yo effect.I truly believe that many will face the Lord and HE will say I NEVER KNEW YOU

God bless you Minister QGAgnew, That was an excellent scripture, I see this all the time too and have carefully tried to rebuke with Love and still they still continue to fall by the wayside. I have had seen the Lord bless some who suffer many things in the flesh before they turn themselves in to God and go to the cross. We just need to keep teaching and praying for those that are weak to sin.

PASTORS AND LEADERS ARE AFRAID TO DEAL WITH THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE THEREFORE THEY HAVE NO FEAR FOR LIVING IN SIN.

They are basically given the green light because All the pastor preaches is love and forgiveness. No rebuke just Love. And then they can't understand why sins in their congregation are at epidemic proportions.

This is so true,today pastors are so worried about thier reputation,and popularity that the dismisal of God's rule or of no effect.It's like how do my peers see me.James:1:23,FOR IF ANY BE A HEARER OF THE WORD,AND NOT A DOER,HE IS LIKE UNTO A MAN BEHOLDING HIS NATURAL FACE IN A GLASS.Getting back to basics is the only way to get our people to know the last days are about us.We can no longer just depend on the church we need to start in our homes,neighborhoods,jobs when possible.Thank God for the saints that keep this out front!

There are two types: Christians that are willfully Sining, and Christains that are struggling within themselves trying to do right..


A couple of scriptures came to my mind: Galations 5:16-25 and Romans 7: 18-23

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. We are striving to perfection, but sometimes our flesh tends to act up when we don't constantly killed/or keep it under subjection through prayer, fasting, studying God's Word. We know what is right and wrong but it's up to us to Ask God to help us not to fall into tempation of the Lust of this world.... Sin just don't overtake a person.... You have to yeld to it...

Lack of knowledge destroys us. If you are not taught properly how to deal with your sins in accordance to scripture then you will find yourself living in sin. Many churches don't dwell to much on the subject as it leads to loss of membership. Let's keep it real people. The end is upon us. No time for playing around.

Verse 9 says them that obey not the truth Some People I had met Insist they don't have to obey scripture by faith . They Believe God can SAVE THEM OUTSIDE OF HIS Word.The person(s) Treat the Bible like it's a story book. For Example Jesus said One MUST be born-again of the water and of the Spirit in John3:3-5
OTHER WISE YOU CANNOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. So the Persons says the word is not necessary but Just to have Faith in God is enough to be saved. So deceived!

When one is truly born-again then I can Conclude that there is a REAL CHANGE In One's Life. This person will had a made of mind to stop sinning, and having A separation from the World by their Lifestyle. Different Thinking HAVING A real change of Heart! I for one experienced it. The Spirit of truth changed my life. I obeyed the gospel which is acts 2:38 and a continuing on in his Word! My Life Has Never been the same! Glory to His Name! God Bless you all!

People live in sin because they are enabled to by lukewarm preaching. Preachers don't want to trouble the waters and loose membership. Also, if they talk about the sins of the congregation, they will have to condemn their own sins.
