MANY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST BELIEVE THAT NO MAN SHOULD BE CALLED "REVEREND". WHERE AND WHEN DID THIS TERM ORIGINATE AND WHY OR WHY NOT SHOULD THIS TITLE BE ACCEPTABLE?

We as christians know there is not a office of revern, but one thing I know for sure is that my role model,my mentor,a Man I hold in high esteem, was named Reverned Earl Wright.Even though, revern is reserved for the use exclusively by God,ps111:9.It has been great men of God,who went about thier work, that was HIS work, for the kingdom with awesome results. This is when religion gets religous. The bible is the Word of God,PERIOD! but by know means am I qualified to say because of thier title, the great works they did were void. This conversation was brought up on another site which caused so much strife and debate than could have been used for a greater good. The bible is God's word, not just text, but the works done for the kingdom can't be just overlooked, due to title revern. Many will jump in on this, but I will hold up these men of God,because the title may be incorrect, but thier heart and motive are un questioned.Serving the kingdom should be the priority, but the intellectuals will defer, watch.
I KNEW YOU WOULD DELIVER! LOL
Great answer,I guess its all about if you want to argue with others about progression in the kingdom or the application of works!!
